I wasnt going to make a whole new thread about this but hey, there are no dumb questions, just dumb answers right? Hopefully that motto is used in these forums :p

My question is what is the purpose of slick honey on paintball guns. I see alot of people selling it to others and stuff and I was just wondering what you guys used it for. I thought maybe you guys used it on the parts. But theres oil for that... So can any1 answers this please?

It's a lubricant that can be use on some marker's. Not necessary for spyder's though oil is just fine.

Some of the higher end/ Pneumatic markers require you to use a Lube type lubricant rather than an oil base on Spyders. True Buzzy's Slick Honey is a great source for lubrication for these types of markers as they don't swell the orings much on usage. Only drawback is it is a bit thinner than your average Lube such as Dow 33 so you would have to apply it frequently. On a Spyder I wouldn't recommend it on any moving parts. Only on the regulator if you have one and maybe the valve. Other than that I would stick to regular PB oil or 3 in 1 oil that you can purchase at the hardware store.

it's thinner because it's used on bike sprockets n such.

Get Evil Pus, shocker lube, shocktech butta...w/e has dow 33 in it. I have found that the thicker the grease, the better it seals/lubes

I was told by my local tech that Dow33 is great if you are not in very cold places. He said that at colder temps, it gets thick. I have no proof of this, but he said to use Slick Honey instead.

Again don't know if that is a valid or not, but I wanted to throw it out there.

idk about that...never had a problem with it...and Eastern PA has a tempermental climate...

no, its the oposite. when it gets cold, slick honey gets thick and gums up. thats the only reason id actually use dow33, because it doesnt do that. slick honey is the smoothest grease you can get for the most part. i donno about other guns, but on a matrix, slick honey is the only grease id ever use.

smoother grease = less bolt stick = smoother operation = lower LPR pressure = less kick = shoot more accurately = play better = build up your confidence = PROFIT

i have a 16 oz tub of slick honey at my house :) thats like a lifetime supply for an entire team.

Slick honey is good except for the cold.
Dow 33 and 55 work good year round.
Dye Slick Lube sucks.
