Didn't get here till 7pm and it was overcast but I walked the bayou behind my house and caught a gator having some dinner (shot at 1600 and 3200 iso, lighting was very bad):

I LOVE this lens! Lightweight, AF speed is insane, built in hood is nice, images are super sharp and overall just handles very nicely.

Psh, overcompensation for your tiny male member!

Jk, I'm just jealous that you have more money to spend on photography equipment then I do.

'Tis only a $1200 lens.... I'm going to need to pull out a loan if I keep looking at your stuff, Dave.

Only... For that price I could get my entire car painted a custom color!

And for a 28-300L it's $2300... for the 1200mm it's $120,000... lenses are expensive for those that didn't guess already. :p

wow. i officially hate you. lol. That's an amazing pic of the moon!

i want to get into photography, but i have a crappy camera, and i dnt even know how to use the manual mode, cuz i don't know when to change the settings (ISO, shutter speed, etc). if someone could shoot me a PM to how i can get started, that would be great, thanks. (sorry for the slight off topic-ness)

You're telling me that some people pay as much as a house for a camera lens?

Most of those people get it paid for mostly by their employers. We're talking major sports photographers, national geographic photographers, those kind of things.

Hey muddy this is kinda off topic but do you think you could shoot me a high res pick of a sun set to use as my background? I would really appreciate it.

Thanks

Could you imagine trying to explain how you lost that lens to your employer...ouch.

Lol... No, because you'd be paying for it for one, for two, you'd be fired hahah.

Nice pics. This little thing has bothered me though. If I got my first camera and it was really nice... how would I take pictures of it to show you guys? :dodgy:

That's one thing that bugs me too, Claus.

EDIT: Also, 1080P is simply 1980X1080.
