New from Planet Eclipse, the SL66 XSV Ego (http://planeteclipse.com/site/eNews.asp?newsID=163).

I like how the on/off sits right up to the bottom of the grip frame but I don't like the milling of it.

Yea that milling doesnt catch my eye. Looks alright but just doesnt flow like all the other egos.

Edit: read the description and they did alot of work. however i dont like that they got rid of the magnetic return b.c "pros" prefer spring only return. That was the man reason i love eclipse frames because the trigger pull is short and snappy, great for semi. But oh well guess I can cross this off my list :p

I didn't notice that they got rid of the magnetic return. IMO magnetic return > spring.

Eclipse is turning into another WDP. Must be an English thing.

Don't get me wrong, I have a lot of erespect for Ego's, just don't like the constant "new model" thing.

P.E is turning into bob long. Same guns, smaller and lighter but not much improvement in performance. Maybe that's because stacked tubed, open bolt Pneumatic markers don't need much improvement :). I think Bob is trying to get away from this with the new Gen. 4 timmys (with the new valve and such) but there's not much to improve on with these types of markers.

I agree with Fred. Ego's, and Timmy's, are one of the best performing guns around. Why change them?

Even though I've never owned an Ego I agree with the Timmy part! I'm surpised Bob Long hasn't tried to halfblock a timmy yet though. It would be different.

For example, the front regulator mount is 2mm smaller in diameter, just to shave off extra grams I giggled. Theres a point when the whole weight issue just gets rediculous. Dont get me wrong, its a nice looking marker, but thats just stupid.

"This is the Integra Type R or M3CSL equivalent of the Ego 06" What the hell? That's the worst anlogy ever. I, granted, Like the way it looks, but still. Yes, shaving off "grams" Is ridiclious... It's fine the way it is..

Why is that a bad analogy. Obviously you know nothing of the 2 cars if you think thats a bad analogy.
