View Full Version : Tired of that s/s line too?

Ok so…every one hates the stainless steel lines on their A5s. I’m no different. I, as much as the next guy, have been offering up suggestions as to how to cover them from electrical tape, to painting them, to shrink tubing. Well, I’m tired of replacing my electrical tape when it shifts, exposing the glue residue. Paint chips and flakes off from the line flexing and I can’t find tubing around here big enough to go over the line nuts on the Tippmann line-ends.

So I started looking around the house and I found a few square feet of MARPAT material and this is what I came up with:

Simply put, you dismount one end of the line from the ASA on the grip (or tombstone adapter as seen on my A5 line here) and slide it over the line. Put new Teflon tape on the threads and reinstall the line. If you need to make the covers non-slip, simply use a small, thin zip-tie near the top (about 2” below the Tombstone) of the line to hold it in place. This way it's in place and you can still access the line ends to disassemble if necessary.

These are approximately 9” long and 2 separate pieces of genuine EGA, MARPAT material sewn together. They are sealed at the ends and stitched down both lateral sides. I used my machine and laid two rows of stitching to ensure years of service. I got quite a few out of the material I had, enough to keep a few for myself and have a total of 11 available for sale.
Since I’ll be out of work for quite sometime, I can use the extra cash in my PayPal account.
Post here to get on the list. The first 11 names get them.

Sorry fernando, what you see is what I've got. I don't have any ACU material or I would have definitely made them. I'm sooooooooooo bored being home only 2 of the 5(+???) weeks with this hand..... :(
