View Full Version : Hopper decision

I just earned $200 dollars and find the only thing needing upgraded is my hopper. I currently have a Halo B and am stuck on either buying and putting a Magna kit in it or selling it and buying either a Magna, Vlo, Prophecy, or Rotor. Opinions?

i like my rotor, but it only holds about a pod.

I have a Prophecy and LOVE it. I used it at Castle and it was perfect. Not one jam or issue.

At some point in the day I got paint goo in my loader and was able to clean it out mid game. Took the loader off my marker, dumped the paint, took off the nose and wiped it out with a rag. 2 minutes tops and back in the game.

Used a Rotor on my team mates Ego and was not impressed. It is a really small profile which was nice, but it jammed and the trigger thing did nothing. I needed to turn it over and shake it to unjam it. Dye has made a new anit-jam trigger but it is an upgrade not included with the loader.

QFT. I'd do that.

Best hopper I ever used/owned was the magna with RF board, by far the most consistent and never jammed.

It's a free upgrade if you take it to the booth or send in your hopper according to what I've read. I like mine alot..........so simple........excellent battery life........I'd complain about the jamming button...........except it's never jammed.

It's actually $10, and has to be sent to your local proshop with their next shipment.

Will they ship to a residence Red? No pro shops here in WNY.

No proshops in WNY? Uh...

N'Vasion Paintball, and there is one out on Spensorport RD, by the Rochester Airport.

It's a little of a drive... but you'd get to play at the best indoor field in WNY in the process.

On topic, I like my old Reloader B still. I guess I'm not into the whole "new this, new that" mindset now that I've taken a step back from paintball. From what I've seen, the Rotor can and does hold it's own. I've used it and enjoyed it very much. We tested the bounce ability by shooting at it from different angles. Most angles will deflect the ball right off.

From what I've heard, the Prophecy is one of the better of the loaders out now. I've never seen one, considering I haven't played in months.. but it's got good reviews.

Let me be more specific. No pro shops in Buffalo.

Not that I know of, but it never hurts to give them a call and ask.
