View Full Version : GRRR ACL tear and surgery

05-08-2009, 08:59 AM
Hey guys,
Hope all of you are doing well. Anyways, i tore my acl playing bball a few months back, had surgery and am now stuck on the couch unable to play paintball and bball for 6 months. Lifting is the only activity i'm able to do right now but there are still limitations on the lifts that can be performed. I've never hated just lying on the couch day after day so much in my life. Oh well, I just needed to vent!

Edit: whoops. realized i put this in the news and updates and not the non-paintball topics section. Mods please move to the correct section, thanks.

Fred consider this an official warning, 1 more time and I will have to ban you.

Sorry to hear about your knee, that really sucks. Hope your recovery is speedy. The upside of all this is, now you can post more. :D

wow dude, that sucks pretty badly

05-08-2009, 01:43 PM
on the bright side, you get stuck with us all day!

welcome back fred!

05-08-2009, 02:09 PM
yeah, it's not so bad. You just get into the habits of working out 4 days a week, bball 2 days a week, golf once per weekend and now nothing but lifting. Disappointing but it does free up some time to spend on here.

Ouch! Sorry to hear that, Fred! Good luck with the recovery, and be careful to only go out after the Doc clears you.

Why is Fred not banned yet?

Sorry to hear about that Fred. It sucks but they are so good at repairing it now that you should be practically 100% if you follow all of your PT which I am sure you will to the fullest extent. My dad tore both his ACL and MCL in a skiing accident and he is back doing everything already. That was like two years ago but he has been back to normal for awhile now. Hope you have a speedy and good recovery!

Thanks for the support fellas. And why is Hops still a mod? What a mistake ;)

I do hope to recover soon and be back 100% by December. My golf should pick up again in July though :). No bball for a while!

Hoping to start PT this week. Should be a blast!

Shhhh don't remind them I am still a mod!!!!

Golf game huh? What is you handicap? I just got mine down to 12 on 18 holes.

05-11-2009, 02:55 PM
Hopps isn't a mod. They just gave him a green title to mess with him. He can't actually do anything. ;)

05-11-2009, 10:07 PM
Man it would be so funny if Hopp turned Tim to pink right now :D

05-12-2009, 03:24 AM
