get a black 09 electra. all the bells and whistles of the mr2, but lighter.

Are you sure you still want to stick to a spyder? I would check out some other older high end guns.

I'm pretty sure an alpha black is just a 98, I'd get a black speedball gun (personally) but if i had to choose, MR2

04-28-2009, 05:03 PM
i don't do speedball, and i want a military gun. not super high end tho

04-28-2009, 05:07 PM
whats the difference, looks? you can get better performance for the price

I've heard good reviews on the SP-1, not that I would ever discourage anyone from buying a Spyder though... lol

04-28-2009, 05:37 PM
don't say that word!!! i hate sp1's

Hah, why?

But I would also go with the MR2, theres a guy in the B/S/T selling one for an exceptional price...

04-28-2009, 05:49 PM
why? I've heard nothing but good from them

I would vote for the SP1, that's the new one. They go for $175 MSRP, although you can find them for $150 NIB if you look. They are superb shooters out of the box. Easy maintenance too.

Nothing against the MR2, but look at what you're spending your dollars on.

I've never used an MR2 but they don't look that bad. I for onw would get a Tippmann if you want to stick to woodsball.

I have and love my MR2 but recently shot my buddies SP1... AWSOME GUN! Now I want one of those too. I. Think I'm becoming a gun whore. :)

MR2, Just cause im a spyder guy. my whole family is spyder. except for my cousins brass eagle, but lets not talk about that.

i love how easy the maintenance is on the spyders, and doesn't the feedneck block the sight on the sp1?

04-29-2009, 01:29 PM
And so it does.... just like on every other real marker. ;)

04-29-2009, 03:37 PM
if the reason you dont want it blocked is because you are using a red dot...it wont matter either way, you use red dots with both eyes so even if one is blocked the other is fine ;) between what you stated i would go with a new electra if you are going spyder..but if you want a cheap gun thats a different company i really recommend the sp1 my buddy had one and we loved the thing, he got one, sold it, then couldnt resist and had to buy another one. if you really are gun techy and dont mind really taking care of a gun, find a cheap ion they are truely a good gun but like with anything it NEEDS SERVICED regularly. as in like after taking it out for a day of play to maybe a couple days..tops it needs to be relubed...with grease. not gun oil. hope this helps a bit.

well i want s spyder for simplicity, and a MIL SIM gun, so they electra doesn't cut it
