Got a new gat, might be here for a very short time as I got it for a pretty good price and plan to sell it for a slight profit after fixing it. Here's some pics from after I got it. Now has a new trigger, new HPR, new LPR, and a new ram from these. Click on the pictures for a larger version. These are sized down so that someone's 56k doesn't roll over and die. Yes, all these pictures are right off the camera. I showed someone earlier today and he accused me of PhotoShopping... LOL!

Probably $100 to $150. ;) I also had the 68/3k in the picture added in for free. It's been out of hydro for 3yrs. I'm going to get it hydro'd and flip it too.

I'm not certain, but based on the fact that the front block screw was tapped post-production, I'm going to assume it was a 2k2 that someone 2k5'd. It's a full 2k5 with the front block, ram assembly, and Alias frame. The Dragon 2.5 came with an Empire style frame, which is the one with the ridges on the back. That's what first tipped me off. With Dragons, though, the body style is the same from 2k2 and 2k5 styles, it's just the frame, ram, and front block that are different.

Thanks for the compliments, guys!

Haha nice. My friend had a 2k2 and it was a great gun (same color as yours but faded just noticed that) I however liked the 2k5 alot more.

I know. I wonder if it looks like that in real life or if the pictures make it look better :p either way your a good photographer.

The pictures make it look marginally better. I just fiddled with it in my tree until the lighting worked for me. That's what gives it the good view: lighting. ;) It helps to have a nice camera, but I could shoot the same picture with a point and shoot and it'd turn out almost as nice. I'd just need to mount it on my tripod so I could keep the little P&S still. :)

Yeah, I hate the 2k2 frames, so the key deciding factor for me was that it was 2k5'd and very cheap like that.

Yeah the 2k5 frames were alot nicer.

Yeah the lighting and the quality of it makes it look really nice. When you take pictures like this do you use a higher shutter speed or what?

Well, what I use for most of these pictures is my 50mm F/1.8 set to either F/2.8 or F/7.1 depending on how close I am, the angle of the picture, etc. This means that the aperture is nearly wide open, and thus takes the pictures exceptionally fast, which in turn results in less blur and a better picture. The problem with lowering the F/stop (aperture) too low is that not enough is in focus. I shot these pictures with these settings:

1.) F/2.8, 1/1500sec, ISO 200
2.) F/7.1, 1/100sec, ISO 200
3.) F/7.1, 1/250sec, ISO 200
4.) F/7.1, 1/100sec, ISO 200

With a hand-held camera, the rule of thumb is 1/whatever mm your lens is for a clear picture. Since my camera had a 50mm lens, and I am using a 1.6X crop factor camera, the lens actually acts like an 80mm. Basically this means that I can shoot with my camera with that lens safely without worry of blur down to 1/80sec. I've shot down as far as 1/5sec before, though, but that lens had an image stabilizer.

For a quality picture, I reduce the chance of noise, and lower the ISO. I could go down as far as ISO 100, but I felt safe using ISO 200 due to the shutter speed. You use a Depth Of Field chart (http://dofmaster.com/dofjs.html) to determine how much of an F-Stop you need, and measure accordingly (my feet are a foot long, so it's easy for me to estimate). Put the subject in a nice light and fiddle with it until it works for you, showing you exactly what you want. The most important thing of all is simple: take multiple shots. One might be blurry and you will not know until you get it onto the computer and everything's already away.

These I was in a hurry for, and left my Sigma 70-200 F/2.8 on and had to back up way far... Whatever. Still look half decent.

Yeah, was fooling around with it in PhotoShop, trying to see how glossy and deep I could make it look. Here's another one that wasn't editted:

Your hoster also compressed the image file. ;) Now, to me, it don't matter about the angle if it looks like... THAT... :D
