View Full Version : Suspected Regulator Leak

I have a 6 month old VS3 stock. Used about 4000 balls through it. When I put air to it my valve showing internal pressure slowly climbs to about 600 psi, then as I shoot it drops to the setting of 250 and holds there as I shoot. Once I stop, it slowly climbs to 600 again. Obviously my first shot is hot and I cannot chrono for scenarios. Should I send back in for warranty work? I suspect internal regulator leak, should I just try to change it or get it changed at a gunsmiths? Suggestions please:(

Sounds to me like it needs a simple lubrication. You can do this a couple of ways, the simplest of which being to take off your hopper and barrel and put 3 drops of oil into the ASA before screwing your tank in. Screw the tank in and shoot 25 shots or so to clear the oil through the system, and then screw back on your hopper and barrel. You also can rip down the regulator and lube it with DOW33. Up to you, but it's the same result altogether, just a matter of how you want to do it.
