1972 240z, and were gonna start tweaking it a little to get the interior back up to snuff, but mechanically, it runs fine, but i would like to find a turbo to plop in there, but i doubt he wants to do that.

anyone interested in seeing this project go through?

Looks nice, not sure if you would be able to find a turbo manifold very cheap for that but its a good idea for a project. Looks nice though, let us know how it goes

is that a datsun?

however, very nice car, id be interested in seeing you go through with it. my friend has a turbo'd '85 300zx that he just got running (after doing a complete engine/tranny swap etc). should be on the road by the end of the month if it passes emissions.

my other friend has a '92 240sx that hes working on now. thats not gonna be done for a while though. hes taking it slow to make it real nice (slow because he needs time to get money). he just replaced the entire suspension and brake system. hes going to swap the engine, probably to a twin turbo'd one.

Actually, you'll find one for EXTREMELY cheap.

Hmm, I guess that makes sense from the junkyard stock turbo'd nissans. If theres a junkyard around you could probably pull it and get it cheap. What I meant about was that it might be difficult buying one new, but I guess an OEM manifold could be found pretty easily.

I agree with seeing this done.

I think the 350Z was based off all of them really. (All being all the Z's, ZX, etc..) Who knows, I still like the old Datsun/Nissans better than the 350Z.

Chants, "LS1 LS1 LS1" You can supercharge it or put a twin turbo system on it.

nice, and if im not mistaken, it was the nissan/datsun 240z, then the 300zx, 350z, and the silvias (180sx, 200sx, 240sx) were kinda branched off of the z and zx, but dont quote me, i'm more of an american car person (got that from my dad, he hates imports)

they had 280s and 260s before the 300s

yeah, this was the first of the z's (not this one, but this model)

price was $2,025 (eBay baby)

yeah, and to whoever said it, if that garage is CLEAN, id hate to see what a dirty one is.

but anyway:

so far ive washed all the dirt off, and it turns out its not off-white, it is actually white, and ill get pics up in a sec of the "trunk of goodies"

this is the trunk...it has soo much crap, ill see if i can name it all...

theres the original 4-spd transmission, theres a valve head, theres all of the original interior panels, 2 brakelights, and that box contains: the original radio, the orignal door speakers, an engine mount, half a brakepad, and various other nuts and bolts

and instead of posting all the pictures, this is my lj, it already has them on there

not one bit, there is absolutely NO padding, they're the metal and the old leather covered with the covers
