I'm wanting a mount to replace the drop forward so a 9oz CO2 tank can be strapped onto via Velcro strap....

Ok..... it needs to be Alum, have the 2 holes to mount to my grip frame at the bottom.... then have a "C" shaped part with the radius so that a 9oz CO2 tank will sit in, have that long enough so that you can use ZIP Ties or Tape or Velcro straps to hold the tank firmly to it....

I will then have my ASA hard lined to my front grip "fake clip" that will hold the front of the tank firm....

Can someone here help me out with this ?

i'm not following you. You do realize that the part you screw the tank into is strong enough to hold onto it, right?

OK what I'm doing....

Look at the stock ASA of the MR1.... the hose threads in the front, its dove tailed on the top..

I'm going to mill the top flat, drill and tap for an air port, take off the hose from the gun, replace it with a solid metal tube, thread the ASA onto it so that now its part of the front grip......... it may need a spacer to lower it !

Now if I was the screw on a full tank it may not be a mounted solid enough to the gun for my liking, SO I will make and mount a "C" shaped piece to the grip frame in place of the drop forward to help hold the tank. Not to fully support it but help hold it....

This will clean up the looks and tuck the tank up and level with the rest of the gun...

I understand, I think. You want to mount the tank horizontal under the body of the marker, almost like it's a grenade launcher, right?

Not the body or the barrel, but the bottom of the grip frame to the fake magazine.... with the ASA being at the very bottom of said magazine..

basically its a cradle for the tank. my question is, what would keep the tank from sliding out the back or sliding up when you put pressure against it?

The ASA will be mounted solid to the magazine.... I just don't want any leverage from the tank hanging from it, the cradle with help support it from the up/down side/side movments...

if you make it correctly it should be just as stable as any ASA.
