I cant remember, how much is a FULL 20oz co2 bottle suppose to weight (roughly). The only place locally to get co2 is the Ace Hardware, but i dont thik they are filling it full. And maybe for future reference 12oz and 9 oz. thanks
weigh the bottle empty, then add 20 oz. it should weigh that much

yep, different bottles have different empty weights i believe .. making it hard to just make an estimate

don't forget...a stock (or near stock) Spyder gets horrible efficiency so a 20 oz will only give you about 800-1000 shots. You can find more info HERE (http://www.zdspb.com/tech/misc/resources/shotspertank.html)

so 1 1/4 pounds of co2 + weight of empty tank = weight of filled tank... math seriously gives me a headache

noooooooo!!!! engraving a tank gives it a weak spot!
put it on a blank sticker and cover it with clear packing tape

LOL, yeah just engrave enough to make a marking in the paint, have seen some tanks with brutal engraving
