so, my VS2 decided not to work today.
I can hear the trigger click...and the bolt unlatches (goes forward) once.
and then nothing.
- there is co2 in the tank
- the tank appears to be fine...no leaks in connection to the gun
- I do have the air knob turned to ON

I am missing this little piece...on the gun.

any thoughts ?
what should I try next ?

other question I have is:
do our guns work on both C02 and air ?

thanks

It cannot run on Co2 without some o-ring problems or frozen internals.

ok you fail at diagnosing

and to OP turn the gun on, that would be an on/off bottomline reg ASA
meaning
bad news you are missing a piece,
but the good new is that you didn't read the manual so here you go

read this before posting vvvvv

there is nothing missing. on the other side is where the on/off knob is. that is the location where the purge happens.

To op: It is a bad idea to run your vs2 on co2. If you have been running it on co2, you may have broke your valve.

oh lol, i thought that was side with the knob sorry bout that.

anyway, CO2 issue related, stock vs2 works just fine on co2, i've used the balance valve with little issue other than your limited to rof and freezing when usuing CO2 especially in the cold weather, but i have yet to break an o-ring while using CO2 and i've tried.

I'd like to see pics of a broken valve, only been using co2 in a stock vs2 for 3 1/2 years now.

I was running mine on C02...
so, guess i will fix that first and get a compressed air tank.

almost seems like the air is not making it through the system.

thanks

ok that is your problem because it will operate on CO2

When was the last time you lube everythign up, there was just another thread about an MR2 that had orings that were too tight and not oiled, so the marker didn't work.

If you dissassembled it did you put everything back in the right place.

Are you positive you just didn't turn ON the ASA? did you hear the gun air up?

I never tried mine on co2 so I guess I'm not gonna say anything about it:)... If it works then thats cool...

op: make sure the striker bolt bumper didn't get put in front of the striker bolt... seen that done... Make sure your top derlin bolt is in the correct way...

Something else to try... take your macro line off and put the tank on and slowly turn the gas on to make sure it is flowing through the reg...

well..guess what.
I just pulled our the Derlin bolt and there is old paint all over the rear barrel and lower internals. The paint ate through the striker o-ring and here I was thinking that the gun was clean.

All that said, I think this is my problem...and so the weapon is being cleansed and will once more go to battle.

and I just ordered a compressed Air tank.
no more running it on Co2. (which I was doing until now)
