Stopped in circuit city one last time yesterday to get guitar hero for cheap but ended up getting a Canon VIXIA HV30 HD video camera for 40% off instead:D
First test movie*******you might have to let it load all the way to play smoothly, my desktop plays it nicely but my older laptop refuses to play smoothly till it is fully loaded:

*****Went past min focus distance on second scene on accident, thats the reason its focused on the cabinets. It was recorded in 1080i on standard miniDV tape that I took out of old sony camera.
Found menu to switch to 720P recording mode today and got some HD miniDV tapes, picture quality is insane. I'll try to find an event happening this weekend that is worth recording to get a good display of the quality it can record.
