So I got a problem with my computer. I don't know when this started. I can burn cds in the dvd drive. I can watch dvd's in the dvd drive and I can even rip dvds to my hard drive. The problem is when I go to burn anything to a dvd... The drive acts like the disk is a cd and not a dvd. I don't know what to do and was hoping that someone here could help me. I checked the driver to make sure it was up to date. windows said it was the most current.

Here is an error that I am getting:
Serious Write Error
DLA has encountered a serious error while writing to your disc. The most recent data written to the disc will be lost. You should be able to recover older files by reinserting the disc into your drive and letting DLA attempt to recover

I think that most of this is the fact that the drive can't recognize it as a dvd. Could the disks be bad? I have only had this issue with this batch of disks.... IKD...

here is a print screen the mycomputer page...

and here is the same with the dvd loaded into the drive.... Notice it says cd...
