What kind of paint are you using? Were they recently wet? Is your bolt broken in?

hmm... it's probably the acs bolt not being broken in .. just take 2 20oz's and have a squeegee, pencil, wooden dowel .. or of that sort down the feedneck (where the hopper goes) and shoot around 2000 shots and that should wear it in .. unless you just want to compress the spring over and over again ...

Compressing the spring?
What if I just do by hand like I am doing now by putting the striker on and moving it down over and over again

that would work .. but that's gonna take a crap of a long time .. why not just take the bolt out and push the little pin down and repeat it

you could try using a "C" clamp or a furniture clamp...put the bolt in it, compress it and leave it there for a while. The quickest way is to roll up a washrag, stuff it down the feed neck and fire off 2 full 20oz CO2 tanks until empty (or a full 68/45).The springs are really stiff in the beginning and that's why they chop.
