fun classes claus. i got a D in calc 1 and said forget it, im not taking it a third time! my public speaking teacher sucked. i did a 6 minute speech on the nppl, and he took off points because i didnt explain how to play paintball, gear, terminology, etc. on the other hand, i loved my english class. took 105 (101 and 102 combined in one semester) and used my final speech from my public speaking class as my final essay for 105. i got a C on the speech, but an A on the essay. whats that say?

INTRO ENGINEERING DESIGN - ENGR 2050
ECONOMIC ANALYSIS OF TECHNOLOGICAL CHANGE - ECON 4110
CHEMISTRY I - CHEM 1100

picked up my books today. one of my books is "Guide to Managing and Maintaining Your PC" and i think this is the only textbook thats ever gotten me excited. my Office and Database books look boring, and my Visual Basic 2005 is still in the wrapper.

Ew VisualBasic. I hear it's pretty much worthless.

I took C# last semester and hated it. .NET for the loss.

C# ftl is more like it, .NET architecture is pretty good. VB is a great way for non cs majors to write quick programs to do lots of simple math with one button and make it all look pretty nice with windows and the like.

Meh. I guess you're right. I'm trying to stay away from .NET as much as I can.

I know for my upcoming job I'm going to need to know Ruby (which I know) for scripting and coding purposes, PHP, and ASP for support purposes.
