Buy a crossfire 68 ci 4500 psi, u get about 1100 shots out of it and iv had for about a month from www.actionvillage.com and its a really nice tank,,,, just a suggestion

If you are looking for a cheap Nitro tank you should be best off to find a Steel or Aluminum tank, a good one can be had for fairly cheap here or on PBN.

i would recommend that tank if you wanna keep it on a budget and not drain your funds, they are 60 bucks and are great tanks.

i own a 48/3000 PMI like in that link right now and it has given me no problems, it only gets about 500-600 shots, but just make sure your feild has all day air available.

here is another option for a cheap HPA tank:

http://www.actionvillage.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/DisplayProductInformation-Start;sid=px2WOla2limWmBK51dJWklxiGLLvM1ZoSA8=?Pro ductID=OAKsFAY7hlsAAAD5MtFJBmGq

it is only 4 dollars more and it will get you between 700-800 shots. its diffenately a decent buy, but you MUST consider something. it is going to be REALLY heavy. if your a bigger person and play back it will be ok for you, but if you plan on playing any kind of front or mid, you better be built like a stump or get the 48/3000 if you are not the strongest guy in the world.

but yea its your call. it would be best to try and go to your local pro shop and try some tanks out, just put them on your shoulder and see which one fits you the best.

hope i was help.

03-08-2006, 05:24 PM
so buy heavy you mean 3-4 lbs
if so then no problem 8 would be close

03-08-2006, 06:29 PM
get the 72/3k steel tank. best tank for the money new

03-08-2006, 09:50 PM
k thats like 1000 shots right
and it'll weight like 4 pounds?

03-09-2006, 03:58 AM
weighs around a 20 and a 9oz together ... and nope .. probably only around 700

03-09-2006, 06:46 AM
no you will get about 800 shots, friend of mine has one on a spyder E-99, he gets around 800 on a full fill. but yea probably like 3.5 pounds empty, full it may get closer to 3.75, but i doubt it weighs 4 pounds, it may thoguh, i really dont kno....

03-09-2006, 06:31 PM
good enough and if i run out i'll just use my co2 tank
do i need a cover for the tank if its the steel one

03-09-2006, 06:55 PM
its a steel tank, itll be fine without a cover

03-10-2006, 06:50 AM
k but can you get a butt plate for HPA tanks

03-10-2006, 08:58 AM
not really. I believe the largest shoulder-stock buttplate is the 20 oz one...and the HPA is bigger in diameter

03-10-2006, 10:23 AM
k, does it really matter though
is it pretty easy to shoulder

03-11-2006, 10:28 AM
yep it's easy ... there's nothing to worry about .. if not stick something rubber on the end so it doesn't slip i guess .. (just thought of it now :p)... but the whole 800 shot thing ... it really depends ... there are huge differences whether you gun is efficient or not ... or the weather (not with HPA so much) ... but yeah :)

03-12-2006, 05:45 PM
k well i get my gun tomorrow so i'll have to see how the co2 works first

03-12-2006, 05:52 PM
antisiphon the CO2 tank for better results

03-12-2006, 06:41 PM
ok what is that and how much do they cost

03-12-2006, 06:45 PM
I'll get you a link and edit this post....

you might want to take it to your local pb shop if you don't have the equipment or the brain to do it :) .. expecially since this would be super dangerous ...

03-12-2006, 09:08 PM
k thx the only problem is i have to PMI tank so it wont fit
do you know of any other places

03-13-2006, 05:00 AM
There are other anti-siphon kits available.

Here is one from SP

SP anti-siphon kit (http://www.pevs.com/detail.asp?pid=130172)

But as stated before, if you are not comfortable working with air tanks, bring it to an airsmith. If you don't do it right it can be dangerous.

Sort of on a side note, but I've got my spyder running at 400 psi right now, and I was planning on buying a used 48/3000 for 35$ just for use at my field, but if each tank holds 500 shots at 850 psi output, do you think I'd be able to double my shots per fill? Cause that'd be really nice... I'm not quite sure how efficient my gun is on co2 right now because I havn't been using it long enough to know how many shots I'd be getting off a 20 oz.

03-13-2006, 02:25 PM
probably a good idea
otherwise i'll most likely lose a finger or two
would a local shop most likely be able to do it
Hob Hayward, how did you get your gun to run at 400 psi

03-13-2006, 05:32 PM
... well your gun isn't as low pressure as it could be ... you probably wouldn't get double the amount ... but ... maybe 600 ... but your 20oz would differ on temperature and all that good stuff ... so that would give you .. maybe 1550 +- ... these arn't exact numbers but ... yeah

BTW he made his gun LP to make it run at 400psi ... might want to read on about it on www.ottersccustoms.com before you actually consider it ... a lot of money and time

03-13-2006, 05:48 PM
ya i read a little of that and swosh right over the top of my head
i think i'll just upgrade to another marker later

Yeah funny thing is I'm basically obsessed with pb now, I just started playing last november, and ooglie, I'm definately not done with my setup, I havn't even fiddled with the springs yet, because I need to get to a field so I can use a chrony, because its kinda pointless trying to set it up, but accordng the friends that I've shot, they think I'm shooting hot, even though it doesn't look to high to me. I dunno, my LP set up is very accurate right now, and I'm lovin it.

NDZ HP valve
Palmer Stab
Super high flow VA (done by me) plus a niftay gauge I also installed in the VA

hmm.. try stepping 91 steps back from your yard and shooting at a target ... point straight .. and it should about hit the bottom of it .. thats about 275 fps ... test it that way :)

Hob Hayward
03-13-2006, 07:09 PM
Ooh I'd never thought of that before... is it 91 steps or feet? Because steps can vary alot...
And yeah, soon as I can get to a field I'm going to hope I can drop to at least 350 psi, then with a new hammer It'll be even better, but I'm gonna be shooting for efficiency more so than how low can I go... As I've heard you can get a spyder down to like 200 psi with decent fps, but your marker turns into a gas hog.

03-13-2006, 07:18 PM
feet :) ... sorry about that ... i'v seen spyders at 120psi .. with field limited fps ...

hmm... i dunno about the whole gashog thing .. i have seen very efficient spyders running around that level

Whoaaaa...... I really have somthing to shoot for... What were they using?

03-14-2006, 09:02 PM
ehh ... not so sure... i really don't remember i'll look it up later .. it's time for sleep :)

03-14-2006, 09:18 PM
hey i need help
i bought a Halo TSA hopper and it asks for the serial number
but i cant find the bugger so if any one else has one could you help me
i need it fast though cause i heard they break and i'm going reballing thx

Hob Hayward
03-15-2006, 12:59 PM
Theres one on the back of the box, not sure if thats the serial, did you look i nthe back on the manual?

03-15-2006, 04:32 PM
k thx i'll use the one on the back of the box if it doesn't work i'll sue lol

03-19-2006, 08:23 PM
i dont think you can do that without really draining your bank account i mean 60 bucks is the power bill

03-20-2006, 04:24 AM

Wow this thread went totaly the wrong way :)

Beavers6 did you get your original question answered?

03-20-2006, 03:26 PM
true but i work for a couple of days and i got it
i mean it wont take long

Hob Hayward
03-20-2006, 05:57 PM
Did your halo screw up? or are you just extending the warrantee..? My brothers TSA managed to get fried, we saw smoke come out of the board when he put fresh batteries in...

Sent it in and they upgraded him to an LCD board whcih is pretty cool, but the morons didn't put the bloody screws back in... So its held toghether by luck and his feedneck at the moment =/

03-21-2006, 07:21 AM
ya it worked fine and i went reballing and took like 10 hits to the hopper it was fine
the only problem was that the motor sensetivity was to high so i couldn't get it to spin
and of course it decided to do that in the middle of a game

Hob Hayward
03-21-2006, 11:29 AM
Yeah, I think they're alot tougher than they're said to be, I suppose if you dropped in assphault it'd smash, but otherwise they're fine...

It'd be handy if they made em out of revvy/grav feed plastic, so they wouldn't break, maybe put a clear line down the middle on the side so you can see how amny balls, sorta like that one version of the ricochet.

03-21-2006, 03:52 PM
one thing you could do if you were really worried is cover it with packaging tape and then it would be like invincible
