so... who's got the game?
I've got it on 360. It's freaking amazing, as I thought/hoped it would be, over a year ago. I have to say I didn't think it's multiplayer would outshine GOW2 but i'm really liking it much more and considering a well sized lan party for it.

Looks like it's off the Half Life engine... no?

Looks hard and glitchy.

actually not glicthy (prolly close to 100 hours on it now :P) but hard.....yes but in a good way, it ill challenge you. Though it is worth it, and its running off the Source Engine not to be confused with the old school Half-life ;)

My point is, it's still based off the Half Life engine. Every mod can be all categorized under the Half Life engine because it was the originator for all of it's series, mods and the like.

It all started with the Quake engine, Doom engine and Half Life engine... then shortly after, Unreal and Halo.

Personally, I think I like the Quake and Unreal engines the best. Never was too big of a fan of the physics in the Half Life engine...

...but I will be purchasing Orange Box for my 360 haha.

the Q4 engine was amazing, but the game wasnt that great. the UT3 engine is the ****, which can be proven by all the games that use it.

don't bother with o-box for 360 anymore, portal was the only game worth xbox content and it's available in digital alone for 15 bucks with twice the maps. also the source engine was used but it was made by turtle-rock studios... the makers of cs condition zero.

beat me to it. CZ was the worst CS ever. tf2 is fun, but only for so long.

I assure you, left 4 dead isn't suck. It's better than GOW2's coop aspects (horde and coop campaign) IMHO.

...it better be pretty damn amazing then. GOW2's co-op is amazing. Horde could have been better though. I even think the Zombie mode in Call of Duty: World At War is better.

WaW was super MEH IMO. L4D is all about the coop/counter. It takes mad skills to beat it on expert. Our hall is having trouble on advanced.

We run up the hall and yell "nerd-out" so people will come play videogames/board games in the lounge area. It's pretty chill.

I got this game today and holy smokes! It was soooo much fun - I played for nearly 12 hours, lol! I won't be playing for a couple of days because my wife is a bit upset, I think...

I played the single player for a couple of hours, the jumped right into live - it's cool that you have to work together to play this.
