home made scope offset

I've had a lot of time on my hands and the wife has been giving me crap about spending to much $$$$ on stuff for my marker. I really needed an offset to mount my Red dot. I found everything I needed around the house(except for the screws. Let me know what you think.

I mounted it to an extra rail using the thumb screws.

I bent the extra portion of the tabs over because I can't find my hacksaw and my Dremel tool is broken. I will cut those off later

That is pretty good, how did you get your scope to stay on?

just clamped it to the piece of metal. Its just over 3/8" wide and is a tight fit

Oh ok nice, sick idea I was thinking about getting an offset but I dont really use a scope since I am up everyone's grill so I dont get the chance to do so, but real nice idea.

its just a red dot for aiming. It makes me aware of where i am pointing my marker more than anything. I use it when i am setting up an ambush more than when i am on the run or stalking.

yes I'm right handed, otherwise i would have rig something for the right side. I have to modify it a little, it just doesn't seem right. I think it needs to be moved up. almost level with the top of the marker

Some are level and some are the way you have it. I think it looks good the way it is.

I flipped it and straightened it out. i will give it a test on friday
