looking at '01edgered's b/s/t thread, i noticed his ceramic was milled down to fit the shroud: http://spyder.tv/forums/showthread.php?p=222725#post222725
then i looked at my own 14" ceramic and noticed something. on mine, the rear part of the barrel milling is a lot shorter (almost non-existent) and is almost exactly the same width as the threads: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v111/DFSniper/Paintball_Markers_and_Gear/SANY0002-1.jpg
and THATS what makes all the difference. i'm assuming that mine is the newer one, designed to fit the mr2/3 and vs3.
