I would tigerstripe the whole gun and get a new feedneck.

:yeahthat: And also maybe add some brown or something to the pattern. And also, maybe get a bipod.

Thanks for the input i really appreciate it.Trinity feed neck is on the way. i'm thinking about digital camo to match my jersey. not sure yet. I never really stay in one place long enough to benefit from a bi pod, but you never know. Everything depends on what i find online.

It's looking real good what stock is that? I love the tiger stripes, if I had those stripes on my marker I would be afraid to change it, they look so sick.

i saw a guy with a completely tiger striped mr2 yesterday. barrel, halo, stock, expansion chamber, the works. i think it may have been professionally done because it looked pretty much seamless.

I got the stock from paintball-online for $24.95. It looks and works just like the trinity one for twice the price. I'm thinking about changing because i have 3 different camo patterns i wear as it is (woodland BDU pants, Digi woodland jersey and TS maker)...not sure what i will do.

DFSNIPER: i would love to do the whole gun, but am worried i would screw it up. At least with the assault body i can sand it down and try again. its got to be expensive to have it done professionally

I think it looks better, more realistic I want a sliding stock but I dont feel like making one so I will settle with a folding stock. I wear a red camo shirt and I don't know how to do a camo pattern so I am cool with tiger stripes. But I understand why you want to change it. You got to match and look good even though you will be dirty before you know it.

Make sure if get the folding stock you order a spring kit too. Otherwise you will only get about 170 - 200 fps. I haven't used it yet because i'm waiting on my spring kit

Wow thanks for the heads up! How much is the spring kit?

jim762

Any where from $6 to $15, depending on where you get it. I have been told the best kit is the 32 degrees kit, but i could find any in stock. I picked up a n extreme rage kit for $7. Check out sundragon, they have 3 different ones, and have a lot of good feedback

Where can i get the kits from?

www.sundragonpb.com. SPPS is the ****, and they carry spring kits. Pick up whatever one suits you, they're basically all the same.

Ok cool thanks so where the old spring is I just put the one that I buy in? Why does that particular stock make the MR3 shoot slower with it on than off?

DFSniper
10-21-2008, 12:31 PM
does the stock replace the velocity adjuster, or does it have one built in?

jim762
10-21-2008, 12:37 PM
It replaces the velocity adjuster. My new spring got shipped today, so i found some washers that fit inside the stock to compress the spring more. I am going to the field tomorrow and will see how that works. Hopefully it will give me enough compression with out kinking the spring.

DFSniper
10-21-2008, 12:51 PM
yeah, thats the problem then. without the adjuster, your only way of adjusting your FPS is to swap springs, or adjust the reg on guns that have one.

Spring kit, Feed neck and Timmy detents are on the way. I also have a new paint scheme planned. Same theme just different colors. have to get the paint and will do it after i play tomorrow.

I had to remove the reddot because the loader sits so low that i can't op-en it. I might have to buy a 45 Deg rail to use it. Still trying to figure out how to attach a M4 magazine i had sitting around.

Also wanted to show you guys my wifes mask. She wanted tiger stripes but wanted it a little more girly. This is what i came up with. Hopefully you won't be able to see it in the brush..

I'm hoping its not to noticeable in the bush. The picture kind of washes it out, its brighter in person.

Yea I didn't notice the pink for a while there. The gun looks real good! Why did you put that little digit cam strip there?

10-28-2008, 10:32 AM
I like it. The only reason I have not yet to get that stock is it covers the vol adjust so if im shooting low i cant fix it. But damn it looks slick. As far as the red dot goes. I had the same issue. What i did to fix it was took away the weaver mount and turns the lids 45d so the open up at an angle

If you look at the second picture with the stock, there is a gap between the stock and the marker where the original stock goes. I wrapped a piece of aluminum to cover it. It looked pretty crappy so i covered it in camo wrap until i get better at manufacturing.

Does anyone have any ideas how i can attach a M4 magazine? I am hesitant to cut up my assault body, because i don't have a spare, and not sure how to go about it. I was thinking about cutting the handle off and using JB weld, but would like a mag well look. Any thoughts?

Oh ok makes sense. Couldn't paint that aluminum or was it that bad? By the way the marker looks AWESOME! Those are pretty close to the tiger stripes I want on my marker. Just Horizontal instead of up and down. Looks great though!

Thanks everybody I'm glad you guys like it!!!! I painted the aluminum OD green like the stock, but it just didn't transition to the gun very well. Plus I put some small screws in to the stock to hold it in place, so when I take the stock off the piece comes with it. I'll leave it like that until i come up with something that transitions better. I'm always tinkering with it, so who knows what's next.

Its been a while since i posted pictures of my marker. I've had it like this for a few weeks now and am very happy with it this way. Not really sure if I will change anything. I have a few ideas, but no time to wirk on them. I traded the Red dot for a Halo B and added an APEX to the J&J barrel, made a ghetto barrel and loader cover. Anyway here it is:
http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm140/jcbrower/IMG_7827.jpg
Its nothing spectacular, but its invisible in the field and accurate out to around 60 ft. I love the APEX. should have gotten one a long time ago. Hope you like it.

I still have a little tweaking to do. I think i am going to paint the APEX. I'm not into the ACU colors, but thats the only camo wrap i can find here.
