I bought a new Xtra this past week and finally went out and played today. The only thing wrong with it, is the cheap feedneck. I lost my hopper on the 1st game and it kept losening throughout the day. What is a good but inexpensive feedneck to look for?

Other than that, I had to cut 2 coils off to get in under 300 fps and it only chopped once. So far so good.

CCM or New Designz tabbed ("no-holes") feedneck

DFSniper - thanks for the quick reply!

I was just looking online at a CCM, but it said that it would not fit "newer" Xtra's. Is this true?

Also, Am I to assume that the "tabs" are what keep the feedneck in place on the Xtra?

i dont see why not...

and yes, the tabs are what hold the feedneck in.

looking at the manuals, the sonix and xtra feednecks look to be the same, but have different part numbers.

but i don't see why it shouldn't fit.

XSiV, in the AVI description, it says it won't fit the new xtras for some reason...

ok thanks again, guys!

I just figured out how the feednecks are installed on the body. Now the search for the best price begins.

Actually my new Trinity feedneck is on its way. I also picked up a J&J 12" barrel as well. I'll report back ASAP on fit and function.

Allrighty! I just got my new Trinity feedneck in and a J&J 12" barrel. Now I just have to play and review. I'm kinda glad I ordered the feedneck when I did. As I went to intall the Trinity, I was taking off the plastic factory neck and it was already broken. Boy that only lasted 4 hours.

Hopefully tomorrow is the day, and I'll report back with my news.

I'm glad someone edits for proper grammar. :D BTW, you don't need a subject when you edit posts.

Glad to hear you bought a good feedneck: the FIRST thing I upgrade on any gun like a Spyder is the feedneck. Those stock plastic things are complete crap.

Trinity is the way to go. All my Spyders have Trinity necks. It's the first thing I buy after getting my Spyder, usually the same day.
