View Full Version : Thinking of buying a bike - TESTING WATERS

Please note, this is a TESTING THE WATERS THREAD...but if you have an offer, let me know!

Well, the Mountain Bike thread has got me thinking that I really want a new bike. ESPECIALLY since the cable attached to the gears on my current bike broke, and said bike is probably 5-10 years older than most of the posters on here, haha!

Sooooo, since I don't have the available cash (refuse to use my credit card since I just bought a 450.00 Canon fs100 and two media cards for National Board stuff - ouch) I'm thinking of clearing out my paintball stuff.

First up, I have my Shocker. I love this gun. It was my baby for years, and I really don't know why I don't use it anymore (I love my PMR as well, but without a field I can't use either one so one of them has to go.) This thing is in great condition. Used in many tournaments and many days of practicing. It's totally upgraded - only thing stock is the bolt guide and the body! To this day, it still shoots ropes.

Let's see, it's got a lot of stuff - starting from the top, there's the Qlock feedneck (disputedly the best feedneck on the market today, IMO), SP VA with guage so you know what pressure is getting past the Maxflo regulator (this is one of the max flos that actually worked, which you know if they worked, they were one of the best at the time), an NDZ Stinger v3 bolt kit (adds more than 50% to the shot count from stock), new NDZ eye covers and detents, an All American 2 piece barrel OR Freak back with AA front, Ton Ton frame with black NDZ Slik trigger (can trade with a black NDZ roller trigger, the original silver Ton Ton trigger or the stock silver trigger), Virtue board (replaced the battery connector with one from Radio Shack, and the ribbon connector is missing some plastic, but works just the same with no problems), new Humphrey solenoid (old one is fine - turns out it was just the battery cable messing up before I replaced it), all covered up by Dye Stickies. There's the black SP rail, black NDZ asa and new macroline as well. This thing's been maintained every weekend it was in use and had the orings replaced several times over.

As you can see in the pictures, the body has just a few scratches from playing (which isn't bad considering how much it was used), and basically is in immaculate condition - as you may or may not know, SP had problems with their anno wearing off their Shockers for awhile. This one has just a couple of spots where the anno is just a tiny bit faded (on top in the back where I carried it and on the regulator), which when I show people and tell them that I've played with this for more than 4 years, they are totally amazed it's held up so well.

I know PBN says 250.00 for this gun, but I think that's a crap offer. If I sold the gun and the parts separately or even on eBay, I could easlily get 400-500for it. I personally think that PBNation is the sole cause for driving the used price of paintball guns and gear down, but that's a rant for another thread. Fact is, you're going to get a shooter with this beast, and I just can't bear the thought of tearing my baby up. Of course, IF I were to sell it, it'd be AS IS. If it breaks down 3 months after you buy it, it wasn't MY doing, because it's nearly perfect as it is!

Like I said, this is a "testing the waters" thread. I'd like 400.00 or more for it, but if you take it with the AA barrel, or without the Freak and ASA, I'd entertain 300.00 or so for it. Of course, offers will be listened to.

I can get a video tomorrow of it shooting (using my new camcorder :D ) to show it shooting if you like. So, give me your offers. I promise I'll listen to them, but won't promise to accept them.

Oh, btw - no paintball trades wanted! Not really wanting to trade at all, actually, unless the deal is pretty awesome.

Up next, a Lucky Un1tech barrel.

There's nothing wrong with this barrel at all. It's extremely light, AC threaded, and has a .689 bore. There is nothing wrong with it cosmetically (no scratches or nicks inside or out) that I could find in a close inspection. It was used for testing a couple of times and picture taking, but never played with. I've kept it in a foam lined case since I've bought it. Comes with the one piece barrel and the back.

Since it was never used for anything other than standing under my back porch and shooting a few dozen rounds through, I'll start at 40.00 + shipping. Of course this is obo. Sold separately, 15 bucks for the back, and 30.00 for the barrel.

I believe this barrel is kind of rare(ish), because as you know Lucky doesn't ship to the US anymore. Offer away!

11" one piece Proto barrel - .690 bore autococker threaded.

This barrel is nearly flawless, just a couple TEENY TINY scratches (nicks? can hardly even call them either of those things) on the end of it. Really good barrel that cleans itself quite well after just a few shots (depending on how the paint fits, of course.)

Online, I found these barrels new anywhere from 40.00 to 65.00. I'm starting this one off at 15.00 + shipping.

Up for consideration is my Spimego - Spyder, Timmy and Ego hybrid

Just wondering what I might be able to get for her. I have a price in mind, but need to hear offers of course. The only thing this gun is lacking is a new anno job which I never got around doing. She rocks like crazy, but I hardly use her, and never play with her in a game. I just like the feel of my Shocker and Rail better.

I made this a couple summers ago as a project gun. Milled it myself. It does need an anno job to finish it off, but it's a great little gun!

Here's what we've got under the hood:

Spyder Victor body
Vanquished Ego adapter with Ego feedneck
2K2 bolt (new) modified to be shorter
Alias ram sleeve and poppit with spring
2K2 ram
Bumperless ram cap
2K2 front block
Lasoya LPR
Torpedo HPR
Ashcroft guage
Timmy dual detents
2K2 Clamshell frame
Modified Alias trigger (has a roller bearing installed)
Alias trigger guard
WAS 2.9 board (has all the modes you will ever need.)
LCD installed
Membrane pad installed
2K2 eyes
2K2 eye covers
Unimount
Hybrid grips (gray - not pictured)

Note, the J&J barrel kit is NOT up for sale with this gun. I may include it, but you'll have to add about 80 bucks to the total cost.

Here's a video of it dry firing in my garage, then again in my kitchen - both are semi.

Shown without grey Hybrid grips here. I don't have the Ion grips anymore, thank goodness!

Here's a bad pic with the grips:

Vanquished Ego feedneck adapter:

Since I have to post a price, hows 1,000,000,000.00? Make an offer and I'll consider any reasonable one. (Note - what I find reasonable, not what PBN finds reasonable.)
