Alright using my compulsive engineering compunction i was thinking about building a paintball tank. I was wondering if there are set rules as to building one. Like body design, guns and such.

Help me out

Well what are you building it from? Golf Cart, Four wheeler, Tricycle?

Well if you've got the money go with a golf cart or four wheeler but if not get some bike parts and make it pedal powered... or you could just make it so the person carries it if you were being super cheep.

well i was wantring to know because i watched Delta Force the other day and thought that a dune buggy pb tank would be cool to build

i wanted to know if there are any specific things that need to be placed ona tank to make it legal and safe to use

It needs paintball grade netting everywhere a ball can get through where there isn't steel plating or other material to protect the driver. Other than that bit, I don't actually know...

yeah i knew that one but i was wondering if the location of gunner is an issue

I don't know of anything that would make it illegal... other that using it without a drivers license if you do use a dune buggy

you have to have the fallowing.
-Emergincy break
-vehical has to be limited to 5km per hour (dont have the time to see what that is in miles probably like 3.5 or so)
-kill switch.
-dead alive indicator
-limited to semi auto, and only 11bps for small arms
-you need to have kill boxes (2 smal ones on each side and a larger one on the back
-have to have team arm band on each side of tank

Looks like that is about it, the rest is about feild regulations, always have aref with the tank, stay on roads ect.
