I heard they're the ones that took over Lucky. Probably just the same stock with a different name.

I have a Lucky barrel, but I don't care for it. I'd sell it for the right price. However, most people seem to enjoy theirs, so it could just be me!

is there anything wrong with the barrel or do you just prefer other barrels?

I love the Un1tech's milling, but the design... I could care less for. It makes for more stuff to carry if I wanted to have a kit (the bores are full length barrels instead of 4-6" segments), and I already have a Freak kit and Matchstik kit. For a single barrel, though... It ain't too bad. I've got it on the GF's PM6 and have another bore (the one on the gun's overbored, spare's smaller in case we're using dinky paint), and it works well enough for the money it cost me ($50 or so).

i dont have a barrel kit, so i was just wondering if it would be a good investment. i was considering the freak kit, but their going for 100 bucks used. i cant think of any other kits.

My Matchstik kit was $100 shipped, and is basically 3 barrels with an extra bore (3 fronts, 4 backs). My Freak kit ran me $85 shipped. They're all about that range for a decent barrel kit, and I wouldn't suggest anything less as you won't be satisfied with less after trying them.

so instead of getting the hero barrels, i should just aim for a freak kit? or matchstick kit?

I would. Find the used older version of the Matchstik kit if you get one, as it comes with more stuff and looks better.

You could easily get the Hero barrel in a single bore for $50, but why not spend the extra $50 and get 2 more barrels? ;) To top it off, properly bored barrels are always better for accuracy.

ok, ill trust you on this one. unless, of course, some could prove you wrong. which i dont think anyone will. so its all good.

They can try... and then I will rip them a new one. :D

Good luck on finding a barrel kit! :)

the J&J edge is $70, and the edge elite is $100. thats what i would get if i were looking into barrel kits.

well, i was actually looking for a kit that had some color. i have a blue mini and i was thinking of getting a kit that kinda matched that.

you can get blue fronts, but you'd probably have to go through a dealer or directly from their site.

yeah, i saw a red front once, but i havent found an online store that sells them. once i start seriously playing again, i'll probably pick an elite kit up and a red front so i have one barrel for each of my guns, woodsball and speedball.

Nothing wrong with it at all. In excellent condition without a scratch on it, but I just didn't like it. I felt the accuracy was way off compared to the hype that came with it.

They can try... and then I will rip them a new one. :D

Unless that person were me!

If people want to match paint, great, and if people like to overbore, that's great as well. We all have an opinion on this but this discussion should not take place in THIS thread since it's been discussed many times over. Anyone interested in the paint to bore matching debate can look it up by using our handy dandy search feature.

Let's stay on topic, k?

I have no fear, Bryce. ;) We share our "fine" discussions on these boards and many learn from them, and we all know that they're mere discussions, not meant in any harmful way towards the other. :)

If you want a kit that matches colors, get the Freak kit. You can get many different colors/types of fronts for them (most notable are the All American, Freak/Freak JR, and Stiffi), and there are several backs as well (retro Freak, Freak JR old/new, and Freak old/new). That's just my advice, though.

i saw something really interesting. there was a new style freak back that was blue, and another that was silver. but the only problem was they were all ion/nxt threaded. does anyone know if they come in a/c thread?
