not if you plan on upgrading the ion.. the tanks is meh... barrel is ok... if you dont have nitrogen i suppose it could be worth it. its not the best deal ive seen though, id try to buy one refurbished and get a crossfire tank with it.

I agree I would try to just get a referb or used one and put my own barrel and tank with it but if your fresh to the game and dont have anything else I suppose it would be ok to get...

i have my old gun my imagine i was planning on getting a new gun and i saw that it was a pretty good deal since i dont have a nitro but i have a 14 inch progressive barrel idk if it would fit an ion but this ion also comes with a micro max flo and at smart parts website said that thing was a 100 so i thought a good price and save quite some money
and i was gonna get a refurb but its out right now
and if u see some good deals just tell me or a better stuff to get with an ion stuff like that much appreciated

Your spyder barrel wont work with the ion, its got impulse style threads. If you don't have a tank already and you play alot of renegade or woods ball it would make a good backup tank; wouldn't last very long otherwise...Just depends on what you are looking to to with your gun ect. I personally would look into a 4500psi tank, I prefer 68ci myself.

well actually .. that spyder barrel would fit.. you'd just needa get this (http://www.actionvillage.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/DisplayProductInformation-Start;sid=lK6hxk5ztvOh4Qp08DVhbkSnKwHYz5c53OY=?Pro ductID=H6asFAY7DUAAAAD3Ke2lA_2s) adapter.
Yeah, 68/45 is the best size ... but some people i know .. (my friend) prefers the 45/45

but what about a regular ion?

the one that comes with it is a fairly perminant unattachable (you cant unattach and reattach the tank ALL the time) from the tank setup (you can remove screws, and pull it off the gun though) it does have an on/off switch/knob. apparently its also a very fast regulator. as for the thread adaptor, id just recomend selling the old barrel and combining the money you made from it with the money you would have spent on the adaptor and get an all american or something fairly cheap.

regular ions do not have on/offs, but its fairly managable, a little effort is required but not a ton.
