hi i'm new to the forums and i recently got a spyder E-mr1 and i shot maybe 600-1000 paintballs in my backyard to get the feel of it. But when i brought it to a field i couldn't get it under 310 fps. Some people suggest breaking in the spring how would i do that?

thanks in advance

Welcome to the forums! Check the link in my sig to the Ultimate Resource Thread. It will help you out.

You can either do this by taking the spring out and compressing it, or you can cut it a little which will help bring down the velocity as well.

Not too much. Its kind of a guess and check type thing.
You can buy a 32 degrees spring kid as well, that may be a better option.

spring kits are nice for choosing the velocity without cutting the springs but if you are too cheap like me, my local shop taught me this because mine was at 360 when i bought it....just leave your gun cocked without paint or air on it for a couple days and it should be back down then you can fine tune it with the velocity adjuster

Does that really work?

Does that really work?

probably because it says cocked, so the spring is compressed.
