I was browsing pbreview.com and came across this pic. It looks pretty cool.... Though I don't know how you would cock it and it may be difficult to adjust the velocity...

looks cool but big

That's not that big. If you think about where the MR1 is inside... that's actually pretty small. Keep in mind, the stock barrel is on there too. So the front shroud isn't even that long.

You'd have to do a modification sort of like what the MR2 or 3 has in order to cock the bolt. For the velocity settings, you could probably drill a hole in the back to access it.

I wish I could see the other side. It might have some sort of deal to cock it(sorta like the mp5). Does anyone know who makes this? There was no user name on the pic

kinda looks photoshopped to me. Check out the backside of the grip. if it's not, it's kinda cool, kinda reminds me of an sp8/x-7

It does look weird but you can see where the hose goes into the mag. That all looks real but if it is P. S. then that's B. S.

Nice. There's a BB gun just around the corner from me that looks exactly like that, see through magazine with fake bullets and all. If it doesn't cost too much I think I'll buy it and try out the conversion, then let you guys know if it's legit.

That plastic body there is an exact replica of a Heckler & Koch G36C. You can get one on Amazon for $12.95 --> http://www.amazon.com/G36-Laser-Spring-Airsoft-Rifle/dp/B0006MXK18/ref=sr_1_21?ie=UTF8&s=sporting-goods&qid=1213090847&sr=1-21

I would, but I don't have time to do any projects right now. Maybe after I get the new job.

thats cool but i wonder how much heavier it makes the gun with all the mods

TheDarkShadow

its all plastic, so it wouldn't add that much weight

Had a look at the Airsoft kit I mentioned and was very disappointed with the plastic they used. One fall with that shroud and it'll break. If they used Nylon 6.6 it would be different, but this is just ordinary brittle, weak black plastic. Only thing worth anything in the box is the mag.

In general, do the plastic airsoft bodies hold up to paintball? It seems like they would break easily, no?

My first post, so hello spyder-users:)
Since I have this MR1 mode, made by a friend of mine I can tell you several things.
First it is not very heavy. The shell is quite durable, it won't break easily the only problem is skeleton stock, you must be careful with it. It is good to harden shell from within by some means.
I think it's quite easy mode to make, mr1 fits very nice in G36C replica, of course you have to cut internals of this gun, but this can be be made with simple tools. Although it is cheap and easy mode, in my opinion it looks better and more realistic than OPSGEAR G36 tippman gun kit.

Patience, caution, precision and sharp knife is key to success. ;)
Maybe some of you here fnished their projects?

Airsoft rifle used it is Double Eagle M41.

Sorry for my English, i don't use it often.

I forgot. Here's another MR1 quite easy to make milsim mode, this one made in France:
