With good grades and $2k down to my dad I can get that 02 firebird ls1 that I have been drooling over. My options are to sell ALL my gear to reach my $2k goal quicker or work a lot longer and save up the full 2k from my job...

keep your gear (or at least the minimum gear you need so you dont have to start from scratch). 02s are nice! i want either that or a camaro rs for my first car. i love t-tops and those factory "aero kits".

NEVER!!!! work only, selling gear takes time, which could be well spent making 7.50 an hour!

sell some stuff to help out, but keep the equipment you need to play so you still can if you want to. do the middle man

Sell the gear, buy the car, then save up again and buy more gear.

am i the only one understands that selling things takes time that could be spent better?

yeah claus it takes time, but its not like you are sitting at your computer the entire time. you check threads every few hours, that takes 15 seconds out of your day. plus, hes already browing the forums, might as well make some money off it too.
i say sell the proto, keep the AMG (you wont get much for it anyway) and the rest of your gear. that gets you a good 450 closer to your goal. id avoid playing until you get the money you need though, cuz spending 60 bucks everytime you play sets you back alot more than you think. i realize you said your options are to sell it all, but i say keep the stuff you wont get much for anyway. if its between keeping it all and selling it all, selling is a much better idea.
and i aplaud (sp?) on your taste in cars. im a huge firebird fan. i dont really like the new ones though. my favorite years are 78, 79, 88-91. the years before 79 and 88 are okay, but im not a huge fan. after 91 they kinda went down hill IMO. but, whatever floats your boat.

dude....go for the car.....you could keep one to play with but even playing costs enough to delay your purchace.......plenty of gear in the sales thread when your rollin in your cool 'bird and ready to play again! :)
