Ok so I ordered a trigger the other day and it was supposidly an IPI/ESP style trigger, but wouldn't fit in the gun. It was too thick and the top was also too short.

I took some pictures, uploaded them, and made a quick site to show to people. Either I was sent the wrong trigger or the IPI 3.0 style frame has been modified.

Here is the website: http://www.geocities.com/br4d05/

If it is infact that Kingman has changed the style of trigger on this frame does anyone know what style trigger will fit?

CIP Sweetspot and Shocktech triggers should fit better.

There are a few different Spyder frames. In the order they were released: single trigger mechanical, double trigger mechanical, ESP, Sprint, IPI, IPI 3.0, CAMD and CAMD LED frames. I didn't even mention the Raven trigger frames. If I'm not mistaken, I think the frame on the new MR2 is different than the rest and the MR1 mechanical is a bit different than the other mechanicals as well. So ya, there is quite a variety of frames and I don't think all of the available aftermarket triggers fit all of them. The one in the pic there looks like the IPI 3.0 or CAMD style. Deffinately not the preceeding ESP, Sprint or IPI frames or the newer CAMD LED(the only difference is the board). The shorter topped triggers should fit, they're just not as long on the top. The only reason I think Kingman made the triggers longer on the top is that with the external adjuster, the spring had to be pushed forward and possibly so they didn't get sued for making a direct copy of the Check-it triggers that have been available for quite some time now.

I see. The company I ordered the trigger from told me that it was made for ESP and IPI3.0 specifically which is why I was confused.

And to make it fit I would need to file down either the frame or the trigger.

I would say that using a lawn-mower spark plug mill file on the trigger where it pins in should do it. Finish with Mother's Mag polish and a thin coat of iol.
