My Ghetto Spyder Pump

Alright. So I started making a spyder pump about a year ago. I got pretty far, and then things came up and I gave up on the project. After finishing my spimmy I needed a new project to work on. So after getting a mech spyder as part of a trade and having no use for it, and recently getting rid of my pump, I decided I'd go for making a new pump.

So I also had recently received a broken Trilogy and after parting some of it out, I had a non blowback valve pin. Then I used my dremel with reinforced cutting wheels to slot my striker. I then drilled and tapped a hole for a rod connecting to the back of the bolt. I used a Tigershark Pump handle, cut off the arms, and tapped it for some threaded rods. Then, I just took some 1" metal pipe, used a mallet to flatten it out, drilled the holes and I know had a "backblock".

This pump is a TRUE pump. No blowback or anything like that. Its not that pretty but it works so here it is.

Hell, I'll encourage it. We need more pump players out there. I'm trying to get a tourney developed here at our field... sick of going up against semi's in tourneys all the time... it get's irritating.

We'll see after this weekend. I've got two tourneys. One at one field and one at our home field.

Don't get me wrong, I encourage creativity if it has good thought put into it, but most of the time it's just stupid. I'm sure some of you have seen the idiots on PbN who pumped a:

Of course they could be converted back to the original Ego, but you can't really tell me it was a smart thing to do.

ive seen a few pump egos. i guess it works if youre going to a pump tourney but dont want another gun. IMO egos are ugly to begin with and deserve to be butchered.
