On Sunday, my friend and old paintball teammate was driving home with his younger brother in the passenger seat when an oncoming car swerved into his lane to pass a truck. The oncoming car struck my friend's head on, killing him and hospitalizing his brother. He was 19 years old, and the most upbeat kid I've ever met. I dont think I can picture him without a smile on his face. I bet if he wasn't killed in the accident, he would be lying in the hospital with a smile on his face right now. He was the kind of kid you could trust with anything, and would always have your back. I hadn't seen him since graduation, and I was looking forward to playing some 'ball with him this summer. He had just finished up his first year at Assumption College.
You never really think these things could happen until they do. I ask that you please keep his family your prayers, to help them get through this, especially his brother who is still in the hospital.
Thanks,
R.I.P. Joe
