Can one make their own homebrew version? I have seen peeps with gatoraid lids on the bottom of their hoppers and have been wondering if they did it them selfs. If anyone has a link or any thoughts put them up...:D

You could drill a hole through the Gatorade cap, and seal it on the hopper, but where would would put it depends on the hopper.

yeah you can. There are also people that sell kits for having different things like skulls and stuff.

I used to make my own rip drives......just go out a buy a metal one. It will last 100x longer and it will work better.

so buying the one from them is better than making one...

If they have what you want, then yes.
If not, its up to you.

"Best rip drive knob???" How can something be the best if you never use it??? Just get any ol' metal one. I have a Shocktech Hotrod kit, and that came with a Shocktech rip drive knob. Works just fine!

Get a bottle cap, flathead screw driver, hammer and hot glue gun.

put cap on flat surface, hammer screw driver through the center, push on rip drive shaft, put hot glue around the inside of the cap.

Or don't cheap out and get a SPD rip drive there the best.

Or. Make one out of plexi glass. I've seen a couple, look nice.

plexi just doesn't hold too well. I prefer lexan.

hammer screw driver through the center,
:nutkick:

You're never touching any of my screw drivers, Dave.... Use a chisel instead of a screwdriver and a mallet instead of a hammer. Afterall, that's their purposes....

They also have this new invention that I have heard about.... its called a drill.:p

I wasn't going to go the route of the gatoraide top. If I did my own it would be something a little better looking than that. I just wondered if anyone has seen a step-by-step deal. I didn't really want to tear into my halo blind and tear something up.

You can't drill it b/c of the shape of rip drive, there are two flat spots, hence why you only want a slit
