Are there any spring kits that you can use for the VS2?

32 degrees makes one, runs about $15. The worst part is getting it shipped, which costs almost as much as the kit does.

last time i checked there wasnt a kit, are you sure that kit isnt for a regular spyder? if its for CCSeries i guess it might work, but im pretty sure youll end up cutting the springs, why would you want a new spring kit anyways? mine runs at 200psi 20bps fine, cp reg is the only perfromance thing i have on it

Only a few of the springs in the 32 deg spring kit will work. The kit usually comes with 9 springs total, 3 main springs, 3 standard valve springs, and 3 compact valve springs (each type comes in 3 tensions). Only the compact valve springs will work on the VS2. The main springs and standard valve springs are too long. You have the option of cutting them down to size, but I would not recommend doing that.

I had read a few places that people were having problems getting their fps to either be high enough or low enough. I saw that several people could not use their guns at fields because they could not get it to chrono under 280. Plus I read that a spring kit can make the VS2 a little more efficient. Are these true or just people talking. I also notice that alot of the problems I read about on here seem to have been fixed by now on the VS2.

spring kits always help. i'm not sure if regular spyder springs will work in the VS or not though.

there isn't a kit for it. the regular springs are too long you would have to cut some of the spring down to make it fit.

you can only use compact valve springs.

I cut the light main spring down and works great

alright. I played today with my VS2 finally. I could not get the fps up beyond 250. That is with the velocity adjuster all the way in and the psi around 270-280. I am assuming that I need a spring kit. What is the best one to get and cut down for the VS2?

Do like I did, just surf the BST & pick up a few kits cheaps. When it comes to cutting them, I would cut it a little long. So after testing you can get it set right.

I0 got the shocktech spring kit, it is a good kit but you have to cut them down.
i recommend them if you are willing to cut them, you get 4 springs in different tensions.
