Has anyone used one

Does R.O.F. mean Ramp?

04-30-2008, 03:22 PM
unless ramp means the same thing but not from what i know.... on my gun r.o.f is how fast it shoots it has 3 settings semi, burst, and full auto. But there is extra lights that you can either go low rof or high rof. when you go low its slower but high rof fires faster

Nope, in the () right after R.O.F. it says Rate Of Fire which for that are; semi, burst-3 and full auto.

Right, the higher the ROF (rate of fire)(helps to have a family background in the military) the faster it shoots. Think of ROF as meaning the same as BPS.

ramping and rate of fire is not the same thing. The Rate of Fire is the number of balls per second your gun is set at. Ramping is when the gun takes over for the person firing once he/she hits a predetermined ROF and then it raises the Rate of Fire automatically to whatever ROF the board is set at, so long as the person keeps the original trigger speed going.

For example - a person shooting 15 BPS (balls per second) has a ROF (rate of fire) of 15 bps. However, say this same person sets his gun at 25 bps RAMPING, with the activation point being 12 BPS. When the person hits 12 BPS trigger speed, then the gun takes over and ramps up to the 25 BPS ROF.

Does this make any sense?

oh so which do you think i should get for an Xball tourney

Are you using your RS or the TL-R? Personally, for tournaments, I'd get just a regular frame and upgrade the board. Best trigger I ever used on a Spyder was a Sweetspot trigger - just a flat trigger. And that was on an old ESP IPI frame...however, if it follows normal PSP rules, you're only going to have to shoot 13 bps anyways, and any electric frame can keep up with that easily. You just need a loader that'll keep up.

The trick to XBall is speed - however, since the cap is in effect, your going to have to rely on accuracy and speed of foot. Get to your bunkers as far up the field as you can, lay down some paint as accurately as possible, and keep that bunker. Oh, and get the other team out, haha!

I don't personally think it matters what gun you use, just so long as you can shoot accurately with it. Most importantly, just have fun and be a good sport.

Nah, you'll have to find one used somewhere, I think. Look in the BST section!
