Welcome to the forums!
check out the ultimate resource thread in my sig, it will help alot.

Id suggest a barrel or HPA

I'd say, just get a new barrel, and a new feedneck. That should start you off pretty good.

i dont know much about the vs1 in particular but usually the stock feedneck on a gun especially spyders is pretty lame, get a clamping feedneck like the one in my sig that will be easier to use and isnt plastic so it wont break. and for the barrel an upgraded one will improve accuracy and sometimes get better efficiency, stop breaking paintballs, and look better. if you want a cheaper barrel go for a j&j ceramic, if you can spend more money look into a barrel kit.

I'd recommend a New Designz Mid-Rise Clamping Feedneck. That's what I have. It works pretty well for me.

one last question because i couldnt find this when i searched for it...i have CO2 and cant afford HPA yet but besides the possible frezing of parts of my gun what are the advantages of HPA over CO2

Electronic hoppers are very helpful also. Defiantly a new feedneck and new barrel though. And for your question. If you get a good enough HPA tank you get more shots out of a tank. I think its more reliable and shoots cleaner.

Mmmm...More consistency....Cleaner....Can't really think of anything else. =/
