Do you really just pull the line out of the ASA/REG? Its pretty hard if this is so because I have tugged on it pretty good.

theres a little piece of the fitting that comes off. Push that down while you pull up.

hmm.. is it the little cup that moves a little on the front of the ASA? any pictures?

pull back on te fitting awaay from the hose, then just ease the hose out
