1) its not the barrel.
2) Get a better hopper
3) Get timmy detents

I have a 16" barrel on my MR2 and it dosent chop. Make shure your bolt is in correctly along with the rest of your internals are installed right. Other than that try putting your old barrel on and if it still chops you know its your gun. J&J FTW!

Are you getting chops or barrel breaks. Is paint being blown up into the hopper? It might be that your paint is bigger then the bore of the J&J. Otherwise like Spyderman723 said check your detent. What hopper are you using? How fast are you firing when it chops?

-make sure your using force feed hopper
-timmy detents
-you may be using to big of paint for the bore size of the barrel

This may be alittle off topic but how do you clean out the barrel? I mean ill sqeege it and wet it and pass a rag and it still looks durty around where the ports are on the inside. Its a J&J of course

Shoulda posted a new thread... but, to answer your question, clean out the barrel with a mixed solution of water (lots of it), a little rubbing alcohol, and a little soap. Squeegie it down. Another option that Vike is a supporter of is sticking it in the dishwasher.

Wow...never thought of sticking them in the dishwasher?!! I usually use warm water down the barrel and a few paper towels to clean/dry it out. I'll have to try the dishwasher thing though!!
