Identifying a "Bad Company Spyder"

Hi all,

I had picked up this "spyder" off ebay awhile back. I usually buy old grey bodied spyders and use as loaners. I love them but I bought this gun because the price was right.

Lets start with the pictures:

I frequent MCB and not too many people over there could help with the identification or give any info about it.

I would like to know anything about this gun if possible. IS it "special" or not. I am trying to sell it and want to know a price. I wasnt thinking more than $50.

It looks to have been a cool gun. That was until someone messed with it. They tried out their milling skills by cutting those diagonal strips and flattened the top of the body which cant be seen in the pictures. The grip frame doesnt look original.

The lettering seems to be laser-engraved


What is it and what would be a good price to sell it for?

no clue, but by the logo, i'm assuming thats a benchmark frame. brand new, those are still selling for $70 from the manufacturer.

here's what i think:
-i'd say Bob Long Millennium Compact receiver (body)
-disagree (sorry DF) on the Benchmark double-finger trigger frame but not know exactly what frame it is... a WGP?
-PMI LPC and V/A
-and not sure on the barrel

as for being "special", i'm not too sure... but if the Bad Company is laser engraved it very well could have been a body they used. i wasn't too big into teams or the markers they used until about 8 years ago or so, so i don't know when BC originated or what they shot back then. when i started in '95 i was just happy to buy a bag a 100 rounds of paint for my Stingray and play, lol!

price, if you could get $50 out of it i'd say do it.

BC started out as a scenario team back in the 80s. i dont think they went tourney until the mid-late 90s, which is about the era of that gun, so its possible.

The only person that might know of it that I can think of off of the top of my head is Mr. Cole himself. He's been with the team since it started. I have no clue how you'd go about contacting him, though... sorry!
