Holy crap that's nice. Jealousy.

I'm driving a red 1999 Toyota Camry LE 4cyl. Just got finished putting new struts in, replacing the part in the exhaust that has that mesh on it and flex's, put a new alternator, timing belt, drive belt, power steering belt, water pump and battery into it. I also picked up some interior accessories, including a SONY stereo system with iPod direct connect control.

I'll be repainting the front bumper, fixing the paint job on the hood, tinting the windows, and sporting some new rims soon too.

Car is in great condition with no rust. (Which, might I add, is hard to find on an almost 10 year old NORTHERN car. It has 183k miles and is still going STRONG. I plan on getting it to go over 250k.)

The paint on the front bumper has never matched. Its slightly off as it was repainted before I bought it and it was a crappy respray.

I'm selling because of the theft risk associated with owning an ITR. I may buy another down the road, but right now I want an S2000.

You're complaining about theft rate yet you want a S2k? Wtfzers? Wouldn't that be the other way around? There are so many ITR's around here and so little S2k's that it would seem the opposite to me.

Is the Integra Type R easy to break into?

Dude if your scared of your ITR getting stolen then dont get a S2K. They just gonna steal your seats out of it. IMHO the only way your gonna drive a Honda and not have it stolen is unless its a SOHC and completely stock. Then again iv seen Hondas stolen just because they have clean interior.

In other words, I drive a 91 Sentra SE-R. Ill post pics some pics of it soon. Iv got none on this computer.

There were only 3800 ITR's sent to the US, I doubt there are many in your area. S2k's aren't stolen because the ONLY part from them that can be used in other cars is the seats. Its not worth it to steal them. Any car is easy to steal with a tow truck, which is what thieves use nowadays.

I'd rather them take the seats than the entire car. I had an Integra stolen 2 years ago next Thursday. An S2k is an almost zero theft risk.

Nope. Winter + soft top + spring potholes + low body = death to car.

Although, our next door neighbor had a Countach back in the 90's.

What I found hilarious was that, today while driving home through Ithica NY, I saw a Audi R8. I seriously didn't know they were making production models yet. It shocked the hell out of me. But what really puzzled me was why he was driving it in an area that is a mountain. It's all potholes. To get into any driveway or parking lot, there is a huge slope that he'd bottom out on... I don't get it.

I would expect to see a super car like that one the interstate doing 90+, not in a crummy, rundown town with potholes that would rip the axle right off the car.

The R series is the new (I think SOHC) engine in the base Civics, it replaced the stout but tired D series platform. (Which ran from the late 80s to the early 00s)

It's probably the B series (B16, B18) or K (K24) series engines found in either the Civic, Integra or DC5 Integra Type R models you're thinking of.

Ok ima give it to you guys st8 cuz when I see ppl saying that it just gets me a little upset.

There is no such thing as the new skyline. Its called the GT-R, that's it, and its not a R35. The actually "new" skyline is the G35 here in the states. Its been out for years now. Its body code is V35 skyline. The same way it came here is the same way its in japan it just has nissan badges and says Skyline 350GT on the back. No all wheeldrive no twinturbo. Nissan really killed the skyline name with that model.

April 21st I plan on going to pick up a 2000 grand prix with hopefully a 3.8 to drive everyday. If in June the auction i get it from has a 2001-2003 monte carlo ill go pick that up and sell the grand prix. Unless i fall in love with the grand prix but idk its a 4 door i think(auction list doesn't say so). Once I get the grand prix my truck will go under my dads insurance and sit in the drive way until one of us feel like driving it(brother doesn't drive and sister cant drive a truck)

The Corolla does what its suppose to do very well. Its a small economy car that gets excellent gas mileage. Hardly any problems with them, and they'll run forever.

Yes, but what made us laugh is the fact that the "type S" is suppose to be the sportier edition, yet it still sucks compared to the old GT-S.

I wish they'd bring back the CRX. My mag from the Detroit Auto Show and some other car mag I got said they were talking about bringing one back... and keeping the same as the old CRX and stuff... not like the Del Sol, which was a flop.

I almost bought one when I left Highschool, a friend of mine had started himself an short-lived importing business, bringing cars over from Japan. Would've had a S13 with about 20k (KMS) on it. As far as I know though, the only car to make it to North America was his Skyline, and to my knowledge it's still in California.

Personally, if you can find yourself a good S14 240sx you're ahead of the game, use the k24 engine until it dies, then suit yourself with an SR20. One of the best engines you can get for the money. Hell, as far as I remember, you could even get the K24 engine in a twin cam turbo. One of these days I'll get behind the wheel of another Nissan, for now I'm loving my Honda though, I just have to make it standard.. :( Only car I've owned (that's been on the road, my '62 Bel-air never legally made it) that's been auto, and I hate it.

QAZ: My brother loved his Eagle Talons. He had a 1990 in red and a 1992 or 3... can't remember, in black TSi Turbo 16V DOHC AWD. That thing was a fricken monster. First car I ever rode in that threw me back in my seat and gave me whiplash. He sold both and misses them dearly. He said that if he ever got a sports car again, it'd be a Mazda 6 or a Talon. He's even looking at Evo's, trying to find a new version of what he used to have. The new Eclipse don't hold a candle to the origional Lazer, Eclipse, and Talon.

I almost totaled my car at the track. Came into a turn a little fast, got on the gas a little early and my ass end swung out and I went off track. My last tire caught traction before it left the pavement and pulled me back across the track, still spinning, so I was facing on coming cars as I was sliding back across the track. Scary to be looking at cars coming at you and all you can do is hold on for the ride.

I wish I had the money to dump into this, it would look so sick if it was slammed with rims and such.

Bra's destroy cars. Period.

This is speaking as the guy who used to have to refinish many a hood/front end because of them. They eventually stretch, then the wind grabs it and vibrates it against the hood. Which wears off the paint to bare metal in most instances. That's if you're lucky, most get filled with water, dust and rocks, so by the time the sucker comes off, your hood is toast.

Do yourself a favour and get it painted, if you're worried about rock chips, get the 3M stick on shield. They're a MUCH better solution. Then again, if your car is a beater and you're just looking at covering it up, go for it (aka it should be cheaper), if you're looking at resale value, it's a horrible idea.

I burned many a bra when I worked at the dealership.. :p

Well... honestly, I know people that do paint jobs.. so I'm going to get a quote, but yeah, I thought bra's destroy cars.

I'm going to be stuck with this car for a while... or at least until gas prices go down... so I want to make it look nice. I'm sick of an unpainted bumper and a dull hood. (My aunt hit a deer with the car and had the hood and bumper replaced. The paint on the bumper chipped off and the hood is dull as hell... like they never finished buffing it) So I'd have to get both painted. I want to get tinted windows eventually too.

Yes Bras are bad for your paint, dirt and sand and other debris get caught in them and you end up with more damage/wear than you would from just road chips, because of wind moving the bra, and basically rubbing the debris around on your car. IF you want the protection of a bra get the 3M's paint protection film. It works wonders. That is of course if you want it kept pristine after painting.

Stay away from the bra.

oh and if you want a decent paint job at a reasonable price.

Do all the prep work for the paint job yourself and then take it to macco

There US wheel 84 series, got them from summit racing for like $45 each. Just steel wheels powercoated black, they have a red stripe around the outside but I airbrushed black over top of it (heard it can be removed with fingernail polish remover also)

I like the simple style and there strong, I have put them through hell the last 5-6 years and there still going strong.

You have a dent above the taillight!!!!!!!

Where did you get that custom plate?:p

Edit:
You don't have to match the paint yourself, dealers sell your exact paint color in small tubes. I have used it to airbrush on to friends cars and you can never tell the difference in shade after it is done.

lol, the dent came with the car. i actually hammered it out so it doesnt look so bad, but havent gotten around to sanding the rust off and throwing some filler on it (body shop wants $600 to fix it!). as for the plate, that reminds me, i still need to call kingman up and see if they still have license plate frames! heck, i'll go ahead and shoot them an email right now.

Without further adieu:

Previous owner's pic. CF hood has clear coat problems, so I'm gonna have it paint matched to the car. CF lip is cracked bad, and its ugly, so I'm replacing that. Other than that, its gonna stay just how it is. I'll have more pics after I pick it up and get the things fixed.

01 ITR #01-0288

With the ridiculously ported head, ported intake manifold, and supporting bolt ons(header, exhaust), along with a tune I should be looking at 200whp. Just a reference, my current ITR put down 159whp "stock". Internals on this black car are completely stock, but the motor was rebuilt less than 150 miles ago. Its got over $6000 in suspension, brakes and wheels. I'd rather it have a USDM front end, but its a bad ass car, and my friend is letting it go for a good price.

Eh, the more I thought about it, the more I realized I wouldn't be happy with anything other than an ITR.

why? just feel comfortable driving it? i love how my '01 galant sits, and i can't drive my mom's focus (feels like a cage) or my best friend's '07 galant because it feels awkward. plus its been pretty good to me, so i'm thinking of getting an evo IX after college.
