Supposed to be the smallest Spyder to date. Uses RS/VS internals.

Critical
04-02-2008, 12:48 PM
Hmmm...
Tadao Board, eyes, RS internals, 9v compatible, integrated on/off, Standard ASA threads, looks like Kingman is coming out to play. As long as they can keep the price down low enough to compete with the new super low cost EP markers.

Thanks, you'll lose that ability as you age :(

That would make a beautiful Spimmy.

I'm thinking it would be quite a feat to make that into a Spimmy. Front is closed off making it hard to attach a front block and LPR.

For those with FireFox, look up the add-on named "ImageZoom." ;)

Looks better than the old style, I might actually pick one up! Eye covers remind me of an Ego's. That might be what they were basing the design off of, then incorporated the "Spyder web...." Yeah, I need some sleep...

EDIT: Wait a ****in' New York minute... where's the LPC???

No need. Firefox 3 Beta 4 has it built in. But I really didn't know it was there until I tried a second ago... I read it all how it was.

gone. i guess they realized it did almost absolutely nothing, although a modern spyder w/o an LPC isnt really a spyder in my eyes...

DFSniper
04-03-2008, 04:07 AM
well, i just ran some ratio measurements (going off the size of the VA) and a standard compact spyder is 22.1cm long on the top tube and 20.2cm long on the bottom, including VA, not including LPC. this one is, get this, 17.8cm on the top tube, and 16.2cm on the bottom tube. now, in standard english, this gun is about 1.75" shorter than a standard (compact body) spyder.

king-man
04-04-2008, 12:40 PM
they made the 04 (DX) 05 (ACS) 06 (W/EYES) then the VS3, alot nicer 06, then they came back with the 08 with eyes, the past electras looked crappy IMO, this one is alot better

My god, that is the hottest looking paintball marker I've seen in a really long time. Standard ASAs and vert reg adapters, regular blade trigger? YAY!

MSRP of $250 is that about right? If thats true, I'd expect it to sell at about $180-190 like the VS2. But thats just me guessing.

Oh, and I think the front block is solid, no plug. From looking at the second picture with all the details, it just looks solid to me. I guess we'll find out Tuesday for sure though.

rsx because it has tadao

xxcarlosxx

why would u pik the electra? the only thing that i see that is different from the rsx, is that it can use co2 and that the board is a bit slower

DFSniper
04-21-2008, 02:00 PM

sorry for my noobness:p

DFSniper

the vs has bottomline regulators and a regular foregrip. on the rs they turned the foregrip into a fully functional reg and created a new on/off bottomline.

i still got sum questions though... imma add u on aim so i dont fill this thread up

king-man
04-21-2008, 04:44 PM
i woudl also say the electra becuse its newer and alot nicer looking, plus we dont know that SPyder and Tadao dont have anything else up their sleave, they may make an upgrade chip like the m7 for vs's or mabey even a yakuza given it already has a hole for a LED, besides that DF said all the strong points of the electra over the rsx, the only thing wrong with the electra i dont like is that it has no gauge and it has a SE valve over a 3G

kramernator
04-21-2008, 06:07 PM

the electra is much smaller and lighter, and $70 cheaper

Some tasty info I can share about the new Electra -
There is a lot less kick because the distance between the striker face and valve has been reduced even though the striker is the same standard size used on the RS and VS1.

Electra – 2.60 lbs. w/ barrel & battery

Pilot – 2.20 lbs. w/ barrel & battery

(The Pilot is lighter because of the Polymer trigger frame)

VS1 – 2.40 lbs w/ barrel & battery

RS – 3.10 lbs. w/ barrel & battery

RSX – 3.00 lbs. w/ barrel & battery

Considering that a SL is 1.95 lbs and an Etek is 2.40 lbs. that’s not bad at all.

Jegger24

I didn't see it on here anywhere... the Electra is out and it has a decent price tag!
