i was bored at school and was thinking, could you make a gun that moved th paint without a bolt and just air, with an electromagnet and valve like deal except the end of the pen would be extremly magnetic, and the valve would be directly behind the breach. Could it work? i drew it up but dont have my note book rite now.

yeah but thats at most 10-25 psi, we are talking anywhere from 100-300, my guess around 175 because there is no bolt to cock back, all the air is focused on the ball and nothing else

its been mentioned before on PBN. kind of like a spoolie but without the bolt, right? it would most likely have to be single tubed, hammer style (tank ASA positioned right behind the valve) and then some way for the trigger to trip the valve. don't EP noids work kind of like that?

Bolts focus the energy into one point what the air does is spread the force out

but if you had a part at the end of the valve that was the same shape as a bolt face, that would eliminate that problem.

so with the advantages shown on the epic website why aren't there more boltless guns and why isnt the epic more popular.

Doesn't look "cool enough" and doesn't have enough funding for advertisements like Ego, DYE, and SP do.

hmm, so its mechanical not electronic, my design was alot more sleek lookin(if only i could find that damn notebook) but it was electronic and no the bottle wasnt behind the breach it was basically the looks of a epiphany, best looking single tube IMO, but instead of the air going through the board and that junk it went staight to the backside of the ball and an electromagnet, kinda like a soliniod, would open the valve pin like on a spyder 3g valve except the the cup seal would open for an extremly short time period and throw the ball forward, but what i dint think of was the thing to keep more than one ball from moving, ill try to find my design but it wont be all animated like that one for the epic
