I got my New Q-Lock, Nothing wrong with the stock but I picked it up for a good deal. BUT MAN,... IDK how to use this thing. I have a brand new Halo B w/ rip and I opened up the lever to put in my hopper but it doesn't fit.. i had to jam it in there and i ended up having to take off the feedneck and twist the sh*t outta my hopper to get it off!!
HELP! (ITS ON MY VS2 NOT VS3)

Lol, the lever lock opens and closes the clamp, but the clamp is adjustable. Open the lever so it's open, and turn the little knob on the other side. Right to make the neck smaller, left to make it bigger. Put the hopper in and close the clamp and check it's fit every little bit to make sure you're adjusting it right. Takes five minutes, tops.

Here's something with pictures and a walk-through installation: http://www.kamworld.net/paintball/reviews/SP_q-lock.html

EDIT: Don't follow that walk-through entirely. Hand-tightening it down to the neck as he described and then closing the lever would ruin your Halo's neck. I'd do what he said, but then, instead of clamping it immediately, take the screw and undo it, eh, 3/4 to a full turn before clamping. Then tighten little bit by little bit until it's as you like it.

Why and how? The only real way to **** up a feedneck is doing something that you shouldn't be doing with it. So long as you simply clamp it down just enough so it won't move on ya, it won't hurt a thing.

I ruined 3 feednecks in a row. impulse threaded feednecks are slightly shorter threading (not as much) so it's easier to mess them up.

WAIT.. U said to Turn Right or Left depending on size... Is that the screw or the entire top part of the feednekc??

eactly, i spent like $35 on a q lock, first time using it and halfway through the day it messed up, then i noticed there were less threads on the impulse than the rs feedneck, next time im buying a ND Vs feedneck to avoid this, moving around with that little of threads on the vs/rs makes it jsut fly off, once it messes up you have two options, A super glue, or B buy a new one and loc-tite it on

The screw... The feedneck'd come off if you tried it with the entire neck... LOL!

I've NEVER had an issue with Imp necks breaking on me. I play back/mid/insert/front, and am all over the damn field doing everything, too.

Unscrew the screw as far as it'll go.

Sand down the hopper's feedneck a little bit with 200grit sand paper until the feedneck at it's largest is just right for the hopper.

Right, but some manufactures are bigger while some are smaller. It isn't really a new thing. The metal really can only be stretched and bent so far, so they manufacture the feednecks for guns to fit most of them. There aparently are a bunch of really scrawny feednecks out there, or at least SP seems to think so. Just sand down the neck of the Halo and it'll fit. It will not affect the performance in any way so long as you do not sand right through the neck!

they should make some sort of kit for feenecks to make it widely adjustable, kinda like a insert kit i guess

just start shaving your halo b, itll be the best thing, unless those shells have smaller necks, i wouldnt know i just blow all my money on guns and parts, so when i go to use them i dont have a good hopper:D

ndz, eh, its nothing great, id much rather have my q lock, the ndz 1 i have to tighten with a allen pack because it wont fit my fasta by just using the clamp thing, it barely clamps it

www.gewgle.com finds most paintball parts and more. :)

:yeahthat: NDZ's are good, but I hate how they clamp.
