balance valve question

Does anyone know if the balance valve actually isolates the air used to recock the hammer from the air leading up to the bolt, or if it just allows the recocking air to contact the striker valve surface more evenly (hence "balance" valve).

The reason I'm asking is because I am in the process of designing a new type of springless blowback valve. I guess you could call it a G4 (4th generation) valve.

The air is isolated... if you notice, there is a hole going through the valve pin and the cup seal, that is where the air goes through for the striker, when the valve opens, that is where the air goes through for the bolt, that is where the "balance" term comes from...
