they may say paypal is the safest way to do Internet buisness, well that's obviusly wrong, some one stole $1250 of my money right now I'm so pissed I can't stop shaking!

03-24-2008, 03:26 PM
How did that happen?

03-24-2008, 03:26 PM
how? srsly. I'd make a call to paypal right now.

03-24-2008, 03:27 PM
Were you phished? Did you click on a link to Myspace or some equivalent and typed your password in?

But like Claus said, call PayPal ASAP.

03-24-2008, 03:28 PM
You better get on the phone with PayPal right now and figure out what happened. I'm fairly certain you can get transactions reversed and they're traceable.

03-24-2008, 03:36 PM
well i did call and they redflagged it but the dude still has the money, it was accepted so i cant reverse it, i couldnt log in to my accoutn last night but our internet was fishy so i just assumed it was that, WRONG! but right now im out $1200 that is all my money.

03-24-2008, 03:45 PM
Sounds like someone sent you an e-mail that said it was "Paypal" and they were going to close your account(or similar bs) and requested your password and personal info....correct? -

03-24-2008, 04:02 PM
That sucks, but why would you put that much money in Paypal?

03-24-2008, 04:15 PM
That sucks, but why would you put that much money in Paypal?

i usally dont take money out untill the end of the month, wich has added up to $6K before, but no thoses days are over, every day i get money in there it goes into my bank and if it gets robbed from there i guess im just ****ed

03-24-2008, 04:22 PM
Holy Crap man...tonight you need to see the therapist...Sam Adams.

Have you contacted the recipient of the funds?

03-24-2008, 04:33 PM
get on paypal asap, make a dispute, freeze both accounts so the $1200 doesn't go into another account,

03-24-2008, 04:45 PM
PayPal announced an insurance policy and a new business service. PayPal accounts are now insured for up to $100,000 for unauthorized transactions against your online account. If it was an unauthorized transaction, meaning basically it was not your fault, than you can have your money returned.

03-24-2008, 04:47 PM
HOLY COW!!! I'm sorry, is your internet wireless? If so is it secure i.e. WEP, WPA? If not it's also possible that someone connected to your internet and took a look at your paypal info. Even WEP keys though could be easily hacked by a 10 yr old with info/software they got off google.

03-24-2008, 05:13 PM
so what happened? you got scammed into buying and the guy never shipped or it all disappeared?

03-24-2008, 05:18 PM
I do 100% of my pb shopping via internet...

the horror! the horror! :bigshock:

I feel bad for ya dude.. I hope everything checks out

Ok, here's the full story, On March 20th( last thursday) our Internet was held up, if you have ever had exp. With sattellite, youll know what a FAP is, a FAP is adair access policy wich if you download over a certain amount of mb's they shut down your Internet for 24 hrs, anywys we were subject to that the same day the hacker Got my account. Well he sent me an Invoice and hacked my account to pay for it. Well obbously a WoW charctrr doesn't cost 1250 smackerunies so paypal put a hold on it. Mind you know I had no awareness of this. Well then they went back got it off hold and it went through, well after this PP knew I didn't authorize so they said said it was unauthorized transaction. Well he got into my account. And acted like I authorized it so it looked like he was in the clear. Well when I got my account back I saw that and was furious but when. I called pp they that was just so they could catch him and they had it all under control

He must have thought that WoW added a hacking peripheral and that he was just running a looting instance :dodgy:

03-25-2008, 06:41 PM
This looks like UK's doing. :p

Since he's selling a WoW account, he thought he'd make your life miserable.

Seriously though, I hope you get your money back.

03-25-2008, 06:50 PM
I was gonna spend part of that on a Cyborg too, a guy on PBN is selling a Storm trooper 06 borg with a red valve and a couple of other extras and im trin to get it but losing that money still left me with enough but not a whole lot left over
EDIT also, i would never in my life play that game, it looks so dumb but adicting jsut like all the other RPG's out there

the us should start chopping the hands off of thieves, would be kind of hard to steal when you're missing appendages... Same concept for rapists and child molesters...
