Ok i was having trouble to decide between two upgrades for my mr2, probably the most necassary is a clamping feedneck, probably the maddog designz one, beacause everyone knows the stock elbow just doesn't get the job done, the next product is the empire sound activated hopper, i only shoot semi auto so that would definetly be the best choice of hopper for me,....could afford to buy them both but then wouldn't have enough money to actually play paintball so what would u choose??

i would go with the hopper first, but then again some feednecks arent that expensive, but you want to be able to keep up to your gun.

check the BST.
Sometimes you can get those items for a steal of a price :)

if you tend to out-shoot you hopper, like me, i would get a new hopper. if you dont usually out-shoot your hopper or dont think that you need a faster hopper, get the feedneck

I'd either look at the BST here or at PBN and get an Egg3/Zeggy and a new feedneck. Together they should run you about $45-55 after shipping. I think I saw an MR2 sale in the BST here earlier today, actually. Might want to check it out. ;)

Eggy didn't keep up with me, even with fresh batts.

Right, it doesn't keep up with me either, but I doubt he'll be outshooting it as he's new to paintball. If he had some experience and some more moolah, I'd point him towards a HaloB or higher, but he doesn't.

Look for a used halob or 18v fasta. If you get a hopper that can't keep up then you will be buying another hopper down the road. You will spend more in the long run.

i'll be looking to get a qloader when one comes along for cheap i have a fasta 18v that is plenty fast enough for your gun i just love the idea and low profile of the qloader so im getting that soon if your interested sp?

also with this name being MR Mill5man or something, I dont think hes going to do alot of speedball games, which definitely is more fast paced than a woodsball game

Egg2s are a great investment. Pick one up

Especially given that they're $30 used VS $50-150 used for a HaloB...

i never use anything more than semi, i play more of a tactical woodsball, im not the spray and pray type...so i guess the eggy might work but i hate having to turn it off and on

Having to turn it off and on > shaking the **** outa your hopper and it still not feeding. ;)

and therefor maybe giving your position away, if thats what yall do.
I would rather have the paint ready to go and have to flick a switch here and there, rather than not spend a dollar for batteries and have to shake your loader in the middle of the game.
But then again its all personal preference.

does the 18v fasta go through the batts?

Of course it does... I'm just not sure how fast. Definitely longer than my VLocity, LOL! I'd bet about two play days before performance starts decreasing.

dynastykiller08

it will last 3 GOOD days of play 2-3 games a day before it even gives a low battery light then i would change them....not to bad i think
