Im looking at buying a new tank and was wondering your guys opinion about buying online. I know that you can save a ton of money if you spend some time looking for good used products but is it worth the risk of getting a bum tank. Right now im leaning towards buying new but wanted to hear what yall had to say.

if its in good condition, i'd get it used. and even if its out of hydro, its only like $18 + shipping to get it rehydro'd.

I personally never risk buying an out of Hydro tank, because you just waisted your money if it doesn't past the test. Personally I only buy BNIB, or freshly hydroed tanks. But I may be overly cautious.

I buy most of my stuff including tanks online. I have never had a problem. Just make sure the person is legit.

Buying used is fine as long as you watch who your buying from. I got a crossfire 68/4500 with 4 years left on hydro for $100 shipped, tank has worked great ever since I got it.
just get some it from someone with good feedback and reputation and if the tank is in at least good condition

I'd always buy used on a tank. If you get a Crossfire or PE, you can't really go wrong as long as its in hydro.

We have several hundred tanks done locally per year. We finally had one fail an inspection...........99% of the tanks will pass. Remember the limit on usage is 15 years from date of mfg. So if it says 03-00 it will be useless in 03-15

Paintball carbon fiber tanks have a 15 year life span and 99% come back okay, because it takes a LOT of damage to not pass hydro.(you would be able to tell from the outside)
I got a 68/45 max flo for $40, $17 to get it hydro'd, and I've got a tank I can sell for $200.
