View Full Version : Need Help finding a part.

I recently purchased the MR3 new from eBay, and upon using it last weekend, I broke the detent/eye cover. It was really cold out, so I think it was a combination of the fact that everything was brittle, and that I tightened the screw too tight(my hands were in gloves and it was hard to feel the torque I was putting into it.

Anyway, the piece cracked, and it's not broken yet, but I suppose it's only a matter of time. Is there anywhere I can purchase a new one of thses? I've been looking for this whole week with no luck.

I'd appreciate any help you could provide.

It's part #329 in the manual.

If you bought it new, call up Kingman. It's still under warantee, and if you take on the role of the "hurt paintballer," they normally send ya one for free. ;) I don't know of anyone other than them that'd stock that part offhand, otherwise I'd link you to them for a back-up plan.

Their contact info:

EDIT: Dumb servers don't like Photobucket...

usually, kingman detents will last for a long time after they crack, so i wouldnt be too worried.

well I called kingman, and by some strange turn of events, my warranty information isn't "in the system".. I still got the cover, but it ended up costing me.

Thanks for the all the help, and like you said, I'll just use the cracked one till it croaks, then pop on the new one.

Thanks again.

did you send in the warranty card that came with the instruction manual?

I went online and found a thing to fill out, and did that.

My local shop sells them for 7 bucks. Ive broke 2 already and the 3rd is cracked. If it was aluminium that would be sweet

oh yeah. I was thinking about machining a part to replace it. I used to work at a machine shop with some CNC mills. I just have to see if they'd let me go in on a saturday and run a program. I have no idea what they'd charge for stock material though... worth checking out, though, I reckon.

Ever heard of "2 Part oppoxxy"? just put two lines of "2part Opoxxy on the outer side of the cap and it should stay there. The glue can be purchased at your local hardware store for 3 bucks
