Hey all. I just finished my MR1 that I have been working on for a month. Hope to get pics on soon.

Here is the list of Mods

BT 16" AR barrel
Car adj stalk
Custom raised/off set site rail and BSE red dot site
Custom AR-15 (actual) magazine
HPA with remote line and bottle

When I post the pics I will describe how I made the BT 16 barrel fit tight, the fit of the magazine and the raised off set rail.

Paste the enemy.

I know how you got the barrel to fit. Curious on the AR Mag though.

Wouldn't mind making mine look more realistic.

If I ever figure out how to post pics, I will let you know how I got the mag to fit, need to see the pics to help explain.

Could you pm me how you put the AR-15 mag on your MR1. I have a AR-15 mag and have no idea how to put it on. Your help is really appreciated.

M-15 mag instal.

1st: remove the bottom cover on the clip. You have to gently pry the tabs up a bit to slide out the bottom cover. Then remove the spring and bullet placement holder. Then remove the existing mag and air line from the MR1.

2nd: Drill your hole in the mag where you thinik your air line will exit. I drilled several holes progressing to a larger size each time. Don't drill a hole any bigger than you have to because it will tear the mag seam down the middle. Once my hole was bigger, I used a cone sanding stone on my air tool to make the hole to fit the fitting on my air line and smooth the edges.

3rd: Cut a piece of metal that will fit (slide in the top of the mag) like the bottom piece. I use the folded edge of a 2/4 fence rail metal hanger bracket. I put it in the vice and cut one folded side off and it fits perfect.

4th: Drill a hole in that piece of metal, once it is slid in the clip. Again make progressive size holes, then finish with a cone shaped sanding stone, until it is the size of the fitting from the bottom of the gun.

5th: Mark and drill holes in that same metal piece to fit one of the exiting MR clip (the one closest to the trigger) and the other hole will use the screw that holds in that black thing (for lack of better terms) at the front lower part of the gun.

6th: Run you air line through the bottom hole of the mag, then up to the top connection of the gun, then tighten the air line at the top of the gun.

Note: I used a short section of black hose (sprinkler irrigation riser pipe) to fit in the bottom mag hole and around the air line that exits the bottom of the mag, so it would not rub and wear the air line.

7th: Tricky part. You have to use something long to reach from the bottom of the mag to screw in the screws. Here's what I did.

The front screw (the existing one that holds the black thingy at the front of the gun) was easy. I used a combination of socket extensions with a hex end fitting the screw.

The screw closet to the trigger is harder. I used a short screw (extra from a scope mount. The threads work perfect for the hole. Now the hard part. If your magazine is the real deal, it will have an inspection slot (actuall its an indicator for 10 rounds or less). With a flash light shinning down the bottom of the mag, you can put an alan wrench into that slot and turn the screw. Have patients it takes good aim and you can only make small turns.

Now your mag should be rock solid and tight to the gun. Slide the bottom mag cover back on and tap the flanges with a hammer and you are done. If you want to still cover that last sliver of space that is more noticable from the front of the gun, I used some black electrical tape and placed it in the seam. You cant tell unless you look real close.

very nice. can you get me length & width measurements of the top opening of the mag? oh, and you dont need 2 sets of [img] tags, since photobucket automatically gives you them.

I can't get the true measurements of the magazine top, but most AK, M16, AR-15 or M4 magazine clips are the same thickness as the spider MR1. The length can vary, depending on the type of mag you use. The Mag I used was one from my AR-15. It was giving me feeding problems, so I took it out of service and used it on my MR.:)

Qloader that beast and i will call it the greatest.

I do not know much about Qloaders. Fill me in on the specifics, I am open to anything. I have been playing with some 20 round feed tubes, but I want them tucked in tight and to look like something part of the gun.

The Qloader is a lower profile feed system that is spring loaded. It is about the same size as a standard 140 rnd paintball loading tube. The system can be located pretty much anywhere you want to place it. It uses a flexible tube that attatches to your feed neck so you won't have to have a big arse hopper sticking up any more. http://www.qloader.com/ is the web site.

Here is a shot of ACE24's MR1 with the qloader..
